Gran Premio de España Santander 2012
Re: Gran Premio de España Santander 2012
I'm always surprised by the number of people/idiots trying to go towards the incident just to FILM it.
Re: Gran Premio de España Santander 2012
What happened? There surely is a fire brigade stationed at the track, are they on it?
Re: Gran Premio de España Santander 2012
Jamesallenonf1 #F1 Smoke is much less dense now, looks like the F1 pit fire in under control, Hope no-one was hurt
H_Kovalainen Wow huge explosion in paddock at Williams garage! Hope no serious injuries... http://t.co/SCMGN597
willbuxton Nothing confirmed but reports fire at Williams caused by KERS. Details very very sketchy right now.

Marussia team in their garage. For those without Sky, I'll keep you updated.
Re: Gran Premio de España Santander 2012
First suggestion is possibly something to do with KERS but they don't know yet. All of the teams have plenty of fire extinguishers and they had it out before the fire brigade arrived.MavF1 wrote:What happened? There surely is a fire brigade stationed at the track, are they on it?

Smoke inhalation is why FI mechanic has gone to hospital. Simon Lazenby says a Sky camer-man was apparently helping a man whose legs were on fire.

Thank God it didn't happen in the race, or in Monaco.
Re: Gran Premio de España Santander 2012
Thank God someone was next to Frank to get him out quickly.

this is media... a lots of journalists are risking their lifes in order to not loose their jobs. from the outside it looks like a nice profession but sometimes is much more dangerous than to fight on the front line in a warKevin Clark wrote:I'm always surprised by the number of people/idiots trying to go towards the incident just to FILM it.

Sky just showed the moment is started. Massive fireball, started so quickly. Other teams quickly ran to help.
Re: Gran Premio de España Santander 2012
Plenty of people being pushed out who clearly were not press photographers. Just people with pit passes.eleanor wrote:this is media... a lots of journalists are risking their lifes in order to not loose their jobs. from the outside it looks like a nice profession but sometimes is much more dangerous than to fight on the front line in a warKevin Clark wrote:I'm always surprised by the number of people/idiots trying to go towards the incident just to FILM it.
