Just thought - 3 years since that infamous win for Vettel: since then he's won 17 races and almost two titles. Who'd have thought it.

I just used it in the wrong sense - infamous for me = memorable.

Schumi & Rosberg will be in front of the field!
I think Mercedes will be closer to the three top teams, but still a few tenths behind them considering that they are over 1 second off the pace on a "normal" circuit.

TWO seperate DRS zones for Monza :

1) Detection - between the two lesmos
Activation - on the run to Ascari
2) Detection - Just before the parabolica
Activation - main pit straight

I don't think Mercedes is going to have a strong race here. No doubt the Engine is same as McLaren & Force India but the aero package is lacking. They are going to make some time on the long straights, but will loose it back in the middle sector where there are chicanes. The win is going to be registered by McLaren.

Mercedes was never fast enough to battle the "big three". Rosberg only led Chinese GP because of less fuel. (+10kg fuel = 0.3s/lap slower)

I voted for Webber, just as I'm a fan. Realistically it will be a battle between Fernando and Lewis. JB and Felipe fighting for podium. But if Red Bull could somehow squeeze it to have a good race pace there, it would be fabulous. I'm afraid, the Red Bull pole streak will break now! ;)

I'd really like to see Lewis win this one. If he wins here, he'll have won on all the "original" circuits (Monaco, Silverstone, Spa, Monza).

Derek Daly joins stewards' panel for the Italian Grand Prix

He scored 15 points only in 49 races. 4th was his best position with Tyrrell team in Argentine GP 1980.

Monza is the most difficult circuit on the calendar to harvest KERS as there are only 6 braking points, consequently it gives the 2nd least lap time advantage between the cars that have it and the cars that don't (0.4s, Hungary is the worst at 0.3s).
