It's below the belt. You skew the truth. That's not what I meant. Buemi made a mistake and left Heidfeld option not to but crash. What was between Lewis and Massa, and Lewis and Webber was pure wheel-to-wheel racing. You cannot take "wheel-to-wheel" racing term literally. That means close racing, which all we want to see. They were very entertaining and fair fights. No one needs to be warned about that. That would be the very defition of unfairness.dacer wrote:Yes, Buemi + Heidfield is a valid example?Ali wrote: Have you ever heard of wheel-to-wheel racing?

Re: 2011 German Grand Prix
Is nice race wheel to wheel, but this way of drive, used to be near to crashed. And the other driver only have the option to go out track, then is not "wheel to wheel", is more "push another out or crash".
Must be punished?. Not if only happen sometime, but if in every race you have a "push another out or crash", then someone must warning this driver.

Re: 2011 German Grand Prix
While drivers being pushed off track is not desirable, it is an inevitable consequence of close racing and makes the racing interesting to watch. Hamilton and Webber was wheel to wheel racing, and while, yes, Massa did go off track in his battle with Hamilton, it made it very interesting and exciting for the fans and Massa did not lose too much time.
And besides, close and exciting racing is what we want to encourage, if we keep giving out warnings then we'll get tedious follow-the-leader processions as no-one dares overtake for fear of a penalty.

Re: 2011 German Grand Prix
but massa loose a position (britain gp), and this is a lot of. Wheel to wheel is nice, but it's different "race incident", that push another out and let choose him crash or go out. If happen only sometimes, ok, in races you are near limits and sometimes you cross. But if "you used to" do it, then is different. Is like other pilots other years as Ralf, or Koba, they used to crash a lot of
