2008 - Robert Kubica (BMW)
2007 - Lewis Hamilton (McLaren)
2006 - Fernando Alonso (Renault)
2005 - Kimi Raikkonen (McLaren)

This represents the best chance yet for McLaren and Ferrari. The race could be a lottery and with Pirelli tyres lasting but a few laps, mayhem could ensue. Watch out for Sauber though, as their tyre saving exploits could merit a good points haul. Not to mention for the first time this season, there will be two DRS zones.

Who will take pole and the win? I take a gamble and go with Alonso because i think Ferrari have some good straight speed, but even Macca are good, not toos ure how RB will perform in race
What will the Pirelli tyres be like? heavy wear, more pitstops
Could Sauber surprise with a podium? No, but bever say never considering Caanada usually is the most entertaining GP each year
If Vettel wins here, is the title race over? yes, because then it shows that RB have it nailed on all types of circuits, its not just the points position but even it will be a psychological victory
Can Lotus, Virgin or HRT claim points? Lotus perhaps but they were disappointing in previous 2 races inspite of being stron in quali but the other 2 teams will need some astonishing luck to get into points or anywhere close

- Who will take pole and the win? Difficult to say, McLaren have a good chance I think.

- What will the Pirelli tyres be like? Wear will be ridiculously high, 5-6 stops maybe

- Could Sauber surprise with a podium? No way, top teams are too fast

- If Vettel wins here, is the title race over? It already is becoming a difficult story...

- Can Lotus, Virgin or HRT claim points? No

Hate it I can't see this race live :(

- Who will take pole and the win? Hamilton is normally good in Montreal, but still Vettel should be the favourite

- What will the Pirelli tyres be like? About 4 or 5 stops

- Could Sauber surprise with a podium? No

- If Vettel wins here, is the title race over? Button also won 6 of the first 7 races in 2009 and it was close at the end. So the title race isn't over until it's mathematically impossible for the other drivers to catch Vettel.

- Can Lotus, Virgin or HRT claim points? No

I think Lotus is the only team of those three that will score points in F1. The other two teams should retire immediately because their performance is just ridiculous...

They could only score if both williams, force india, toro rosso, sauber and either a renault and mercedes retires.

Who will take pole and the win? Vettel for both

- What will the Pirelli tyres be like? 4 stops

- Could Sauber surprise with a podium? No

- If Vettel wins here, is the title race over? Unless something disastrous happens his season then it's his I think

- Can Lotus, Virgin or HRT claim points? No chance unless there is a ridiculous retirement rate
http://www.thef1slate.com/- see what the drivers "really" think

That's the case for this year. But I think they will improve massively in the next years. Virgin and HRT will always drive 4 - 5 seconds off the pace.
