They've been given a reprieve. Rule won't come into place.

Why do the rules have to change every season, oh sorry every race

I see some political coincidence here. Isn't it interesting that only few days ago the FOTA rejected FIA plans for 2013 aero rule changes ? Is it just a "showing the power" thing from FIA ?

F1 is a political game, take it easy guys..
The wheel spins in one team's favour sometimes, but do rest assured that they will not enjoy their advantage forever.

Sauber have today announced that the Money Service Group will be joining the team as a partner with immediate effect.

The logo of the financial services provider based in Liechenstein, Germany and Austria will appear on team trucks, pit lane equipment, team gear and other apparatus.

“We are grateful for the confidence which the Money Service Group has placed in us and look forward to a successful long-term partnership that will benefit both sides,” commented Team Principal Peter Sauber.

Michael Seidl, owner and founder of the Money Service Group, added: “We have already gleaned a year of positive experience in Formula One and have now entered a new partnership with the Sauber F1 Team, not least on account of our regional proximity. I am impressed by Peter Sauber’s courage and single-mindedness and have no doubt that we make a good match as partners.”

Formula 1's ruling body, the FIA, has confirmed the DRS zone for this weekend's Spanish Grand Prix.

The detection point will placed right before the final corner, with the activation soon after the start of the main straight.

It means the DRS zone will be longest available so far, with 830 meters to overtake along the Barcelona circuit's straight.

It is hoped the long DRS zone will boost passing moves on a circuit where overtaking has always been difficult.
We always get overtaking into T1 anyway. Why not put it somewhere else? :zz:
