Gran Premio de Espana Santander 2011Circuit de Catalunya | Round 5 of the 2011 FIA Formula One World Championship Timetable (UK Time): Code: Fri 20 May 2011 Practice 1 09:00 - 10:30 Practice 2 13:00 - 14:30 Sat 21 May 2011 Practice 3 10:00 - 11:00 Qualifying 13:00 Sun 22 May 2011 Race 13:00 Past winners: 2010 - M. Webber (Red Bull) 2009 - J. Button (Brawn) 2008 - K. Raikkonen (Ferrari) 2007 - F. Massa (Ferrari) 2006 - F. Alonso (Renault) Past pole sitters: 2010 - M. Webber (Red Bull) 2009 - J. Button (Brawn) 2008 - K. Raikkonen (Ferrari) 2007 - F. Massa (Ferrari) 2006 - F. Alonso (Renault) Anyone else spot a trend... Code: 01 Sebastian Vettel 93 02 Lewis Hamilton 59 03 Mark Webber 55 04 Jenson Button 46 05 Fernando Alonso 41 06 Felipe Massa 24 07 Nick Heidfeld 21 08 Vitaly Petrov 21 09 Nico Rosberg 20 10 Kamui Kobayashi 8 11 Michael Schumacher 6 12 Sebastien Buemi 6 13 Adrian Sutil 2 14 Paul di Resta 2 Code: 01 RBR-Renault 148 02 McLaren-Mercedes 105 03 Ferrari 65 04 Renault 42 05 Mercedes 26 06 Sauber-Ferrari 8 07 STR-Ferrari 6 08 Force India-Mercedes 4 Who will take pole? Who will win the race? Will we finally see a Safety Car period? What about the midfield? Barcelona is traditionally the upgrade race: will the order change? Vettel already has 93 points. He didn't achieve that until Race 9 last year... Don't forget the prediction competition, currently led by yours truly (let me bask in the glory, it won't last!)

Who will take pole? Hopefully Vettel Who will win the race? Hopefully Vettel Will we finally see a Safety Car period? I don't think so. The first safety car period will be at Monaco Barcelona is traditionally the upgrade race: will the order change? I think we saw the biggest upgrades in Istanbul. So I don't expect that the order changes in Barcelona

Phil, please, don’t take me wrong . But could you put the ñ in España in the thread title? please, please, please . It looks horrible (and sounds even worse ). Who will take pole? Let me think Vettel? Who will win the race? May the best win, whoever he is. Will we finally see a Safety Car period? As long as nobody gets hurt, why not? It's been quite a rainy spring. Maybe we get a wet GP. What about the midfield? My impossible wish: to have them all within 2 tenths of the fastest car. Barcelona is traditionally the upgrade race: will the order change? Not much.

The circuit’s official Twitter account said the zone where drivers can use DRS during the race will be 830m long. It is expected to be situated on the start/finish straight.
The FIA reduced the length of the DRS zone at the Chinese Grand Prix from 902m to 752m after concerns were raised that it would make overtaking too easy.
Concerns were also raised at the frequency of overtaking in the DRS zone during the Turkish Grand Prix, and the ease with which drivers could overtaking using their adjustable rear wings.
The Circuit de Catalunya has a reputation for being one of the most difficult F1 circuits to overtake on.

Hope McLaren get their updates and pitstops right this time. It's always the same: McLaren bring updates to a GP weekend, but decide after the friday that they are not good enough so they take them off and race without upgrades. Hope Vettel DNF and doesn't take pole for once.

I hope no one gets DNF and may the best win.

I think is time for Mark Webber to win. In Australia finish 5th , in Malaysia finish 4th , in China finish 3rd , in Turkey finish 2nd...and in Spain will be the WINNER

Btw guys, I'm aware the F1Zone calendar says the race is this Sunday. Of course, that is incorrect. I must have been sleepy doing the calendar way back in December

Who will take pole? Well I think the guy who did it in Turkey....and in China....and in Malaysia. Did I miss one out? Oh, yeah, and of course in Australia , too To be honest, I don't feel like watching qualifying next weekend. Who will win the race? I hope I'm wrong, but "The Finger" I guess. What about the midfield? I wonder if a certain 7 times world-champion can finally match the pace of his teammate and doesn't stick out of the mass with his strange defensive moves in the first few laps. Just for once. Barcelona is traditionally the upgrade race: will the order change? No, it won't. McLaren hopefully brings some upgrades worth mentioning which can bring them closer to Red Bull.
