1 - Best Driver
For me, two stood out today and they were Vettel and Heidfeld.
2 - Best Team
Either Red Bull or Renault. The latter have rocket starts!
3 - Best Overtake
Hamilton on Buemi/Schumacher. 3 wide!
4 - Best Moment
Most of the race was awesome, unpredictable
5 - Worst Driver
Alonso lol. Erm, neither Williams got very far. I'll go with Petrov. I have to say it was a very silly mistake that could have resulted in a serious injury for him
6 - Worst Team
Williams. They've made, what, a few laps in a race?
7 - Best Rookie
Paul di Resta. 10th again, this time on merit
8 - Biggest Surprise
Red Bull's KERS not working. Then Vettel still dominates anyway

Re: Rate the 2011 Malaysian Grand Prix
1 - Best Driver
Saying Vettel would be boring, but he won without KERS... So it's got to be him. Honourable mentions for Button and Heidfeld.
2 - Best Team
I'm going to say Renault.
3 - Best Overtake
There were tonnes of beauts. Hamilton's double on Schumi and Buemi, Alonso's on Button, Perez on someone (EDIT: probably Rosberg) around the outside of turn 9, and a whole heap of moves by Kamui Koboyashi, who is very firmly my second favourite driver, but my favourite was Webber's incredibly drawn out move on Massa from the start-finish straight to turn 4 and 5. Webber on Massa.
4 - Best Moment
The whole race was good.
5 - Worst Driver
I'm actually going to say Alonso. He had the chance for 15 points. Petrov gets an honourable mention, which is a shame, because his race was good until his aerial adventure.
6 - Worst Team
Poor pitstops by McLaren and Ferrari.
7 - Best Rookie
Paul di Resta was great, again.
8 - Biggest Surprise
Nick Heidfeld's more than solid performance, and the fact he was able to recover from a poor stop and stint.
9 - General Comment
I thought this race was an 8/10, a thoroughly enjoyable race without me always being on the edge of my seat. Four and three stoppers though? Weird.
Good start to the season:
Malaysian Grand Prix - 8/10
Australian Grand Prix - 7/10

1 - Best Driver - Vettel
2 - Best Team - RBR
3 - Best Overtake - Hamilton schumi and buemi
4 - Best Moment - when hamilton was catching vettel for a short period i still think mclaren can challenge them in the race
5 - Worst Driver - Alonso, very poor attempt at an overtake on lewis
6 - Worst Team - Williams
7 - Best Rookie - Paul Di Resta
8 - Biggest Surprise - How even though there was overtaking i still didnt like it i felt it was very fake
9 - General Comment(s) Loads of overtakes but they were to easy for me get rid of the DRS and let the drivers do what there paid to do.

Re: Rate the 2011 Malaysian Grand Prix
1 - Best Driver- Vettel + Heidfeld+ Kamui
2 - Best Team - Red Bull (though their KERS were extremel disappointing)
3 - Best Overtake- lots of good overtakes, but the Renaults were fantastic at the start, with clean agression shown in first 2 corners, and actually Massa did some good overtakes today
4 - Best Moment- more ot less whole race was good
5 - Worst Driver- Rosberg as he was kid of unknown whole race, even Jaimee struggled. Petrov's error was disappointing
6 - Worst Team- Williams
7 - Best Rookie- Paul (i hope he continues beating Sutil )
8 - Biggest Surprise- Ferraris race pace was threatening at one point, and Renault were stronger than expected
9 - General Comment(s)- very good race, with lots of nice overtakes and each lap making a difference in tyre wear, which was fantastic. the only thing a bit worrying is such a long straight is required for DRS to work effectively

Re: Rate the 2011 Malaysian Grand Prix
1 - Best Driver- Heidfeld
2 - Best Team - Red Bull
3 - Best Overtake- Definitely Hamilton on bith Buemi and Schumacher
4 - Best Moment- all the battles during the race, with a lot of overtakings
5 - Worst Driver- Rosberg, Alonso
6 - Worst Team- Williams
7 - Best Rookie- Di Resta
8 - Biggest Surprise- Petrov miss a corner two before the end!!!
9 - General comment- I love the new system, the DRS. We can see now a lot of overtaking, the battles between the drivers are much closer. And Pirelli is still studying the F1. A lots of action in the pits!!!
Vettel, too good today, again. Renault is just awesome since the start of the season. Big mistake by Alonso, and Hamilton was not able to manage his tires. Good and smart race for his teammate, Button.

Re: Rate the 2011 Malaysian Grand Prix
1 - Best Driver
Sebastian Vettel, a class ahead of all others
2 - Best Team
Red Bull, even a smaller pace advantage than in Australia is enough for him
3 - Best Overtake
So many of them..... i'd say Kamui Kobayashi fighting back on Mark Webber in a much faster car as soon as Webber passed him
4 - Best Moment
The start.... especially Heidfeld's
5 - Worst Driver
Pastor Maldonado, he has to more than up his game
6 - Worst Team
Williams, they need to get to the finish line
7 - Best Rookie
Paul di Resta, got a point and beat Sutil fair and square
8 - Biggest Surprise
Renaults battling with the McLarens and Webber's Red Bull
9 - General Comment(s)
9/10; Vettel was unbeateable but brilliant action, overtaking and change of places from 2nd to 8th

Re: Rate the 2011 Malaysian Grand Prix
Best driver: Vettel
Best team: Red Bull, still with no reliable KERS
Best overtake: Hamilton on Buemi and Schumacher
Best moment: None particularly, a good race overall
Worst driver: Webber, considering the car he's driving even with KERS problems.
Worst team: HRT once more, Williams didn't finish but they can do better.
Best rookie: Di Resta, second finish in the points on his second race ever in F1.
Biggest surprise: Heidfeld, from zero in Australia to hero in Malaysia
General comment: A good race with many overtaking moves.

Re: Rate the 2011 Malaysian Grand Prix
1 - Best Driver - Heidfeld, wordclass start, worldclass drive
2 - Best Team - RBR, fastest.
3 - Best Overtake - No doubt at all: Hamilton on Buemi and Schumacher, best one of 2011 so far.
4 - Best Moment - See: Best Overtake
5 - Worst Driver - Hmm.. Petrov
6 - Worst Team - Williams, special mention to McLaren for a terrible strategy!
7 - Best Rookie - Di Resta
8 - Biggest Surprise - The start by the Renaults, McLarens strategy with Hamilton
9 - General Comment(s) 7/10, better than Oz. But a big shame are the penalties for both Hamilton and Alonso, I didn't see any extraordinary weaving and Alonso was trying to overtake and you should support that and not penalise that

Re: Rate the 2011 Malaysian Grand Prix
A+++++ would watch again.
1 - Best Driver: catch him if you can.
2 - Best Team: no team really stood out. It was a difficult race for everybody, with KERS issues for RBR, rear wing problems for Alonso, botched pit stops for Massa, Heidfeld, Hamilton...
3 - Best Overtake: Hamilton on Buemi/Schumacher, three wide. I was on the edge of my seat.
4 - Best Moment: possibly the battle between Hamilton and Alonso.
5 - Worst Driver: hard to say. Bar Vettel, Button and Heidfeld, everybody made more or less costly mistakes, sometimes paying an excessive price for it (Petrov).
6 - Worst Team: the one whose two cars had already retired when Liuzzi's HRT nearly saw the end of the race.
7 - Best Rookie: di Resta, no question.
8 - Biggest Surprise: lots of them. The lack of rain, the (mostly) clean racing, Webber's start, Petrov's jump.
9 - General Comment(s): I only have to add that the stewards' decision to penalise Hamilton and Alonso was a really, really astoundingly dumb one. Minor racing incidents are bound to happen whenever there is close racing (which is what we all want to see, god dammit), drivers should be encouraged into trying and racing hard. Besides, with both of them needing an extra pit-stop as a result of their antics, karma had already balanced it out, don't you think?
