Such a pity that we don't have the splits for that last stage. Today morning, he was about 2 s/Km off the pace in the first half of the stage and 1s/Km in the second half. It would be very interesting to know if he has been losing 1 s/Km during the whole stage or if there's also a similar pattern this afternoon, because if it were the case, we could see some very, very good splits from him.

Kimi’s splits for that last stage are finally there.

Code: Select all

Split Ogier Kimi
1 43.9 +1.5
2 3:35.2 +6.8
3 6:32.5 +13.4
4 9:05.3 +19.6
5 12:47.2 +26.5
6 15:46.4 +30.3
7 18:40.3 +37.1
8 21:48.2 +37.5
9 24:57.1 ---- lost split, so ein Mist!
10 27:13.5 +42.7
Split 8 is simply amazing. Only two drivers (Ogier and Latvala) were faster than him, and only 0.4 seconds in 5 Km. Loeb was 0.2 seconds slower than Kimi there. All these drivers were pushing on that split. On pace whith the big guys, on gravel! !yahoo:
And he only lost 5 seconds in the last 10 km. I think he can do it, if he keeps on trying for a while, he can do it.
