Hänninen seems to bee flying, Petter going also nice if you think its not his usual car... but the rest "big names" ... so many out after the first two stages, wow.
Re: Rallye Monte-Carlo 2011
Wau! That’s a nice number of “big” guys crashing out in just two stages. Good that they’re all doing well.
Don’t get me wrong, I like how the boy drives but Neuville tends to crash a lot.

PROTON Motorsports’ bid to begin its 2011 Intercontinental Rally Challenge season with a strong finish on Rallye Monte-Carlo has faltered after team drivers P-G Andersson and Chris Atkinson both retired from the centenary edition of the event this morning.
Atkinson, from Australia, stopped after 700 metres of the opening stage with a suspected electrical problem while Andersson went out after seven kilometres of stage two when he took a wheel off his Satria Neo Super 2000 in a crash.
Swede Andersson, who is being co-driven by countryman Emil Axelsson for the first time, was just outside of the top 10 when he went out.
PROTON Motorsports, which is run by the British MEM operation, had prepared for Rallye Monte-Carlo with a series of tests (pictured).

By David Evans and Matt Beer

Petter Solberg has underlined that he is still far from fully settled in the Peugeot 207 despite currently holding fourth in the Monte Carlo Rally, his debut in both the Intercontinental Rally Challenge and S2000 machinery.
The 2003 World Rally champion was sixth after SS1 this morning, but then second-quickest on SS2, moving him up to third overall.
Solberg admitted that the dry weather of the opening stages had not been ideal for him.
"I had never tested the car in these conditions," he said. "So I didn't play with the set-up."
He said a scare on SS1 had cost him a significant amount of time.
"It was in a medium-speed, right-hand corner," Solberg explained. "I hit some gravel and we hit the wall quite hard.
"For a couple of kilometres I didn't push because I thought I might have broken the wheel, but when it was okay we pressed on.
"The second stage was much better but I'm still learning the car."
Solberg has so far proved competitive with everyone bar dominant leader Juho Hanninen, but reckoned the Skoda's pace was partly to its tyre choice, with SS2 having proved much more dry than most had expected.
"I'm not surprised at the Skoda's time," said Solberg. "They were two steps harder than us with the tyres."
