There's no tomorrow in this rallye, but there's a long stage where Ogi was faster even with rong tyre choice

If we calculate the time difference between ogier and kimi for last 3 stages which they had run before in the day then Ogier had shaved off 19 seconds off kimi and now kimi has 17.1 seconds..

Hopefully Kimi will manage to defend.. It would be extremely close.....

Kimi in anycase will have to pull off something special
So its gonna be a mix of Ravishing Black and White for Kimi Raikkonen this season

S.S. N° 2 – 5 – 7 "PORTELLO" (Km. 13,00)

The Classic Stage of the Rally della Lanterna.

Starts with a gentle slope mixed / fast alternated with some nice hairpin bends in a narrow road.

The asphalt, renovated in many parts, has a very good grip.

The inner part of the climb is accentuated.

After the fantastic passing of the area of Roccatagliata begins a slight slope where the road requires rhythm and speed until the mountain pass of Passo del Portello.

From the mountain pass initiates a very technical descent alternated with a few hairpin bends

Just before the end of the test there is a spectacular "reverse" with the junction on the old route of the SS 45.

Very interesting and spectacular downhill hairpin bends until the inversion.

Minor changes to the positions of start and end of the stage have reduced the length of 100 meters compared to previous editions.
thank you momo and nicole

Good thing is there is no rally tomorrow.

I reckon Kimi and Kaj know exactly what is ahead of them in the next stages and are fully aware that Ogier could catch them and will be pushing the metal to put something spectacular together. Kimi seems to find more speed in the last stages of the rallys and with a really good chance of a no..........(not saying it you know why) he will give it his all plus he is in italy. :O
Well, they still need experience more than success, so CAREFUL should still be the name of the game for Kimi and Kaj

Lets all pray he makes no mistakes and finishes the rally. This in any case has been good for him as he has got the feel of his car on tarmac and more kilometres of experience under his belt. :)

Go for it Kimi we are all proud of you.

Just tuned into the qaulifing on the tv to hear that Nigel Mansell has crashed at Le Mans and they are saying he has a serious leg injury. Apparantly he was doing 200mph when he crashed. So prayers go out to Nigel that he recovers well.
