He doesnt lift a millimeter. I never understood that. lol

Despite the fact he has a b..s the size of churchbell( got to be, havent really checked :p ) he once said he asked quickly from the pit on which side the car was before breaking down..and then just stepped on it.

Ok, Im actually glad to know he did that. Or he would probably have been insane.
What I do know is that I personally would never ever have driven with 300 km/h with my foot down into the unknown - no matter how much people assured me it was safe. :p

By the way. I just saw one of my friends on Facebook post a statistic over wins at Spa. Of course Schumacher and Clark have won more times at Spa. But Kimi only raced there 7 times. So he has a win percentage of 57%. The highest of anyone. Schumi, Senna, Clark, you name it :)

i thought someone mentioned he has won every race he finished there ... that is simply good statistic.

Yeah, that's right.

Yes, Kimi has won every race he crossed the finish line. Technically he was included in the final classification in 2008 since he crashed with only one lap left. But Kimi's record at Spa is very neat.

As for the smoke in 2002: Actually Kimi could see the car through the smoke. It is not as blind as we see from the video. Even in a video if it is clear, one can see where the car is. Still it is very bold to be committed like that even if you know where the car is. So, it does not take anything away from it. Just makes us reassured. :p
Curious case of Kimi Raikkonen..

you're welcome!

here is a englisch article about the press conference yesterday but have to say i didn't like they way they describe that he didn't by a box in the new stadium (for 100.000 CHF) but don't tell that he already is a big shareholder in the club ieg he has already invested quite a lote more that the 100.000 CHF box. Maybe he just wants to follow games among all the others normal people instead of in a private box....Why cant papers just write neutral with all the relevant fact in.

Kimi Räikkönen becomes EVZ ambassador

Kimi Räikkönen, the Finnish former Formula 1 racing driver champion, has been appointed club ambassador for the EVZ ice hockey team, though what his duties will be have not yet been defined.

A hastily arranged press conference was given at an almost empty stadium on Sunday afternoon with just 30-year-old Räikkönen, senior club officials and a handful of reporters present. Never one for the limelight, Räikkönen has always played hide-and-seek with the press.

Since living in Switzerland, Räikkönen lives only a five-minute drive away from the stadium, he has often followed ice hockey matches in Zurich and Rapperswil and has even trained with EVZ, no doubt arranged by his compatriot and good friend Walteri Immonen, who is EVZ assistant coach.

The club had originally hoped that Räikkönen would buy one of the CHF 100,000 boxes at the new stadium but instead he has just bought four season tickets. While he is known to be a fun-loving person, he does not have a reputation as a great communicator. However, his involvement with EVZ is to be regarded as an honour for the club.

"We are really happy to have Kimi as our ambassador," said Patrick Lengwiler, director of sport. "We have not got a big list of things for him to do but perhaps he can open a few doors."

Räikkönen meanwhile said he was happy to be able to help EVZ and was given an club shirt with number 1 and "Kimi" written on the back. One radio station encouraged him to say "Hopp Zug" (Come on Zug) in to the microphone, which he did, though he shrugged his shoulders and said, "I have no idea what it means."

As a start to his ambassadorial duties, Räikkönen duly dropped the first puck to start the Kolin Cup match between the Finnish Espoo Blues team and EVZ, whereupon he withdrew to enjoy the game. Zug went on to win 5-3 and finish second overall in the four-team warm-up tournament.

Ferrari seem to bee remembering a lot their former driver this weekend:

from their review:

...The situation in both championships is certainly more difficult, but it is still not impossible for us to reach our targets: for those with short memories, I remember that three years ago, we found ourselves in a much worse situation and we all know how it went in the end...."

http://motorsport.com/news/article.asp?ID=384361&FS=F1

and from the pressconferenc:

...And he jokingly commented on speculation that until very recently, Korean organisers were still to lay the asphalt at its new Formula One venue.

"I think a cancellation would be a problem for everyone in the championship fight," said Domenicali.

"But right now I am expecting that the race will take place. If there is still a gravel road, then we will have to get Kimi (Raikkonen) back!" he laughed.

I also read somewhere that dome had commented that he has been talking to Kimi in the phone last week after rally Germany...

I found it a little funny that he finds he needs to point out that he is keeping i touch with Kimi regularly.

may be another way of being apologetic is to stay in touch by calling up once in a while
So its gonna be a mix of Ravishing Black and White for Kimi Raikkonen this season

Yeah, sounds a little bit pathetic on the background of his previous comments.

Apparently Domi has a short memory himself. Forgot about the latest party line claiming that Kimi didn't talk to anybody but Stella, so he had to be replaced :p

yeah luie: its probably his way of being apologetic, he probably has bad conscience about how things turned out, but why the heck does he find the need to point it out to the press every time he calls Kimi...

and yeah, its a little bit amusing for him to point out that he regularly chit-chats with Kimi in the phone after the previous comments in the press
