Who knows - i reckon until we hear from Red Bull re the contract extension or from Kimi on his future anything can happen.

I would be surprised if Red Bull were to rush to sign him after two good races, and essentially when his stock is at the highest allowing him to dictate terms rather than the other way around. I think they'll wait a bit.... they would be foolish not to.

On another note - this is the perfect example of how fickle F1 is - a few weeks ago Webber was definitely going to be retired from Red Bull, now he apparently has not only Red Bull but Ferrari after his signature - how things change

This is valid for the media and fans on forums. Believe me that the teams know very well the situation. For example, Webber is known quantity for RedBull, he's been driving for them for 3years already.

So, what you said about how fickle F1 is, goes only for the media and fans. The teams with so many specialists and investing so much money, know exactly each driver's abbilities.

So was Kimi too, wasn't he? Remember the things about: If Kimi doesn't lift up his performance in the end season 2009 then he will be shown the door.

His performances had nothing to do with the fact that he was already going out no matter what.

They say that it's Dieter who makes the calls alone. He will listen to Marko but Horner has nothing to say. We don't know what Dieter has in mind, only that he wanted to sponsor Kimi and Leo Turrini said that it's a long contract and he will be in Red Bull in 2011.

Then there's last season's champion Jenson Button. He wasn't exactly the hottest name on the market in 2009 but he won with the good car.

All and all, we don't know if Mark's performances have any bearing. They might not matter at all. Then again now it looks as if Webber and his engineer won't share the data with Vettel - something isn't right within the team if that happens.

Next thing Domi will insist on is that a star of this caliber doesn't have to start on the dirty side of the track. It already became clear that overtaking the star will be penalised. After that few circuits are removed from the calendar since the star isn't at his best in front of the paying audience (unless his team mate is allowed to drive into the wall). It would also be reasonable that Newey would hand over his technical drawings to the star so that he wouldn't have to use so much energy on spying. And since he already is a team manager he doesn't have to blackmail the current team manager with his revelations. It also seemed unreasonable, but fortunately the situation is now rectified, that a mediocre supporting driver gets to drive with the same machinery like happened in McLaren. They took the 6 tenths at the same time. It's also unforgivable to write all kinds of things about the star in the press without taking responsibility like they do for example in the Spanish press.

You write so well. Again one good thing from Kimi: he don't see that it's important to hide data from his teammate Kimi is still faster driver than Webber in my eyes, perhaps they think that in RB too. But we don't know almost anything (and I still want that Kimi continue in WRC).

Bummer, Webber did win after all, although I should learn to trust my instincts more. At morning I felt he is going to win and then after long meeting here I saw what had happened...well, there was safety car a few times but thats it.
Webber drove well , though.
Kimi stayed out of the headlines and I think its good.

@ Apple, according to your intution what's going on in Red Bull? I read that Webber's race engineer has found something good that has taken the car forward but they won't share the data with Vettel. Is Vettel the one leaving since it's difficult to understand that Horner would let one of them keep information that would benefit the whole team to himself?

Oi, the overtake in the end - sweet - although it was penalised later but it was worth watching. Like China re-visited, being overtaken when least expected ;)

You want to know what I really feel right now?
Ok, first of all, I feel Seb is unsecure as he has noticed the team bosses has been noticing Webber more. So Seb is a little unsure whats going to happen and thats why he talked about Ferrari so positive way.We dont know what has happened if and when Vettel went to talk to Horner about data exchange. Horner on the other hand has now in his hands a situation he hasnt been earlier, he has a winning team and winning teams pressures. He has now probably faced a situation where Mark demands preferred position as he is the driver that has found something about the car. Thats why I think they need Markos and Mateschitzis comments as they are the real bosses not Horner.
Maybe Vettel has somewhere behind his mind a nagging little mouse who says"Webber has Horner tied nicely around his little finger" and thats why Vettel sure looks sad and unsure in my opinion.
On the other hand he has a finnish trainer who probably knows how to coach mentally in these situations. Now is the time to Vettel to show his mental strenght and the enemy comes from his own team. I think everybody in his team are waiting for Vettels answer on track and thank god they give him opportunity to give it.
Marko already commented Vettels talks about Ferrari. What he really said was" we are still behind you".

Its not Horner who decides the lineup, its Dietrich Mateschitz's and his motor sport adviser Helmut Marko. So according to Horners words they would like to keep Webber but no talks have started yet. But according to Marko's words , he said.

"It is our desire to continue with Vettel and Webber,
