Steve Robertson has confirmed to MTV3 that Kimi is not going to drive in F1 next year!

can somebody translate what he says about the negotiation situation?
Afternoon!

That’s what I understand, but I’m also using the translator (definitively I have to take Finnish lessons, only problem is that there’s nowhere to take them where I live :<>: ).

I think he also says Kimi wants to rally and they’re discussing with several teams. Well, there’re only three of them so…

Does anybody know what Mäkinen is doing next season? IRC?

Does anybody know if MTV3 has called Robertson? or was it Roberson calling MTV3?
afternoon!

I think last year there was also ruomors about Mäkinens or Petters teams as options to the factory teams...

I think MTV had call Robertson but usually hes just crule ie ignores them and gives no comments. If he wants to revel anything (he is the one calling) he always gives the story to Kulta/TS
That’s the point, I can not really believe he has revealed something like that to MTV3 unless they already have something else “unter Dach und Fach” (Sealed? Ready? Arg, I don't find the right words in English! ).
they are just killing time, waiting for the layers to read through the papers and for the ink to dry?
That’s exactly what I meant! I just don’t know if that’s what I wish or the truth.

Basically Steve didn't say anything beside that F1 is out of the pic at the moment.

I have the same question concerning this and the Quesnell article: Why was it published now?
They obviously know something (rather everything) but don't tell the whole truth.

Kimi, say something :<>:

Oi, sorry, Julia also thought that Robertson would not go and reveal anything to MTV3 and leave Kulta in the dark!!

+1

Kriss, to be exact Steve said that their eye is not in F1 at the moment. Of course it isn't, Rally Wales is around the corner :n

This is so frustrating! :(

But Steve said that they are not looking for possibilities in F1 anymore....maybe...because they already found THE PERFECT ONE???!!! :n

Steve Robertson confirmed to MTV3 that he is negotiating a rally-contract for his protegé for the next season too. The comeback to F1 is a closed option at least when it comes to next season.

- We aren't looking for possibilities in F1 anymore. Kimi seems to be more concentrated on rally at this moment, Robertson told.

Has Kimi turned his back on F1 for good?

- Never say never but at the moment the eye is not on F1, Robertson said.

- Nothing has been decided yet. We will tell when we have something to tell. At the moment nothing has been signed. We are negotiating with several different teams but I can't go more into it, Robertson said.
Uy!

Thanks Wolfie!

Definitively, this guy (little Kimi) is making me suffer headaches!

Mar, what do you think of the article or mainly about what Robertson said? Like you said, MTV3 is not the media he would go and reveal anything to but what is disturbing is the 'filling' words MTV3 puts in there - you never know if they are their conclusions or if they are based upon facts :<>:
Off-Topic: show
My personal experience with journalists, just a little example:
Last time I had to deal with one, the journo wrote that we were “introducing explosions in a protein”, instead of “introducing mutations in a protein”. And no, I didn’t have any lapsus lingue, that girl just wrote the first thing that crossed her mind and thought “explosions” is a much fancier word.

That’s why, when it’s about Kimi’s future I prefer to watch the interviews with my own eyes in youtube.
I think Steve Robertson is a guy with many years experience dealing with the MTV guys. Maybe MTV has twisted his words a bit, but I think they can’t be too far away from what Robertson wanted them to write. That's why I think it may mean that they have something already signed or almost signed.

Well, to me its crystal clear. Kimi continues in rally, in which team, they probably know it but wont tell yet.
They also leave the door open to F1, Robertson just sends a message to F1 teams Kimi might be available next year.
I wont go to the route of endless speculations anymore. What happens happens. I am happy if Kimi drives somehere and tell you the thruth, I am curious to see how Kimi plays with his gear stick.. :n :p

Thanks for the example Mar, says it all - how did mutation turn into an explosion
I doubt they have twisted Steve's words but they write their own introduction and conclusion in the article between the actual quotes. The titles are the worst!

Mostly it disappoints me because it didn't convince me one bit that Kimi is staying in rally next year. As soon as a real statement is given out I can stop harrassing you with Kimi to xxxxxx in 2011

You really read it that way, Apple

Good grief, all this is a dejá-vu from last year :fear:

as much as i want kimi to return to F1 next year but by reading the article it's quite convincing that he will stay at rally next year... from my view steve has stated that rally for next year...

i hope that i'm 100% wrong...
