 the sad thing with these things is that we outsiders newer will know the best/juiciest part of the negotiations and what almost happened... I mean we probably are very unaware over last years best/juiciest twists and we are probably going to know only a little part of the truth even this year. And I am especially curious about the Kim-RB deal because many things in it doesn't make sense to me at the moment... no obsession, not at all

but as long as Kulta isn't starting to write doome day predictions again or Kimi starting to look too desperate in the interweaves. I take this as a nice soap opera to follow and I am quite sure that Kimi knows what he is doing and in the end gets to do next year the option which is best for him personally and what he likes to do most... and i just keep my finger crossed its some sort of motorracing you actually can follow

But Julia, it doesn't have to be a sad thing since we have already proven that we are experts in filling out the blanks

Nicole,

What do you think about the next topic...

Everyone writes down what he thinks what is going to happen with Kimi...everyone has one chance...

We keep that in one topic...and when Kimi decide and it's official than we'll give a special present for that person...

just a thought but it's fun...

Great idea Spinne

But what if the majority is right ''hmm''

Details need to be right and we guess the date that it's announced officially too ... :n

It's weird when you don't know if you are witnessing Kimi's last rallies or not :(

But it's not as if this would be the first time we fans would be hanging in the air

It won't be his last rallies ever but maybe well before his comeback...MY guess...It will be announced 10 days after the WDC in F1 is known :-)

about potential "back to F1" seats availability

http://www.ts.fi/f1/uutiset/167805.html

Kulta /TS has interviewed Nico and also asked what he thinks about Schumachers future plans. This is what i got out of it, the relevant part from speculation point of view

Quote:
TS asked Rosberg last night , how he sees these rumor around Schumacher
- If Michael enjoys, he continues. If he does not enjoy, he quit.

Do you believe that Schumacher still enjoys driving then?
- Yeah, but of course it is quite impossible to know as a third part. I do not believe that Michael would stop, Rosberg says.

Ring Exchange no big significance

Some experts believes that it is 100% sure Schumacher will drive for next season at the beginning, but if he notice that he alienated the new Pirelli tire as much as this year's Bridgestone rubbers, he closes his career a second time at the end of next year.
Rosberg, doesn't sign the potential impact of tire change on Schumacher's driving and solutions
- It does not depend on the tires. It does not matter, even if we put on the Pirellis right now, it does not change anything.

and when I am on posting... here are the original Horner and Marko quotes abut Kimis RB future in both F1 and WRC which I assume started the Kimi-RB not continuing cooperating in rally rumors and no place for him in their F1-team either... Somebody asked for them earlier...

sorry didn't have time to translate... so they are in german but they are interesting

after rally germany Horner said this (12.9)

Quote:
Was passiert danach?

http://www.motorsport-total.com/f1/news ... 91208.html

and then was Rally Japan...and after that Marko said this (22.9)

Quote:

But i'm not that worried... Come on the only reason that Kimi got so many coverage in the beginning of the season was because he's/was an F1 hero... Everyone wanted to known what he was going to do there so that made a lot (even no Kimi fans) looked to his performances....

But after (for the most of the autosport fans) some quite mediocre rallies of Kimi there are only really kimi fans following him...

I'm sure Kimi can't stay that long in WRC except if he pays the season himself... even for sponsors Kimi is not that attractive in WRC... and please don't be upset with what I say...it's the way it is...

Sponsors are interested in heroes who drives for Championships...

You do recognize that you are still trying to convince the wrong persons here... have you tried to call Kimi and bang some sense in him that he shouldn't even talk to the media that WRC is a option for him next year? :O

no seriously, I give you and wolfie thumbs up if in the end of the season its revealed that all this rallytalk was just a smokescreen and he was always going to go to RBF1 in 2011... because it surely looks like he is seriously looking for options to stay in WRC and that there arent any visible serious options in F1 for next year ... and thats the reason many of us are trying to make sense of his options in WRC.

You know what Kimi isnt the only one who keeps his fans nerves on a knife edge whilst they wait to find out what he is going to do next. I remember sitting in the stands at Monza 1992 fearing that I would never see Ayrton driving a McLaren again. He did a deal for 1993 to drive "per race" in the end. What a year that turned out to be, in an inferior car he did some amazing things as I saw with my own eyes at Donnington Park standing at the Malborne Hairpin in the worst rain imaginable. Sorry to talk of the past and off topic...........but there is some relevence which is lets look to the possitive for our Kimi as he too is capeable of amazing things in anything that has four wheels and an engine :O

sponsors are also interested in heroes that makes sport events worth to look for and I think thats going to full fill with Kimi and Ken Block if they end up together with Monsters team. Kimi has also said according to rumours that he would like to team up with Finns. He feels he would develop more than with Citroen guys.
That indicates he wants to continue in rally and is prefering to find a seat there.
If he ends up in F1 , its a big surprise and I will raise all my hat to you.
Another things is how much Kimi cares about fans opinions regarding his direction in his own life? He has everything. He doesnt desperately need money or glory( at the moment anyway. That might change after second year in rally) and he is just following his heart now. No one can push him to do something if he doesnt want to.

Räikkönen: I have no plans for next year

Kimi Räikkönen has said that he is yet to finalise plans for the 2011 season following a sudden end to recent rumours that he may be returning to Formula 1 with Renault. Although a continuation in the World Rally Championship is believed to be the most likely option, the 2007 F1 World Champion reiterates that no arrangements are yet in place.

Having departed Ferrari at the end of last year, Räikkönen has spent 2010 rallying for Red Bull’s Citroën Junior Team. However, after claiming to the Finnish press prior to the Japanese Grand Prix that Renault was using his name in a publicity stunt – a statement the team hotly contested - an F1 comeback seems unlikely.

“I don’t have any plans for next year,” he told Fox Sports ahead of this weekend’s French rally. “There’s different options and we will see which is the best, what I feel is the right thing for me, and then we’ll make the decision.”

When asked to explain his goal for the rest of this season’s WRC campaign, which features events in Spain and Great Britain after this weekend, Kimi replied:

“To try and make the best out of all of the rallies; there’s two tarmac rallies, so that should be a bit easier.

"Here in France it’s a new rally for everybody, so it should be a bit better for us because other people don’t have experience from the past here – so hopefully we can improve and get some good results.”
