Kimis management admitted the contact after Renault had made a first move about it. After that it has been Renault who has been keeping a lonely chat about it. You know how Kimi is. He doesnt speak about these things, never. He hasnt been saying anything negative about teams before and now he isnt in F1 anymore.
He isnt in F1 , he can say what ever he wants if he wants and nobody cares. Thats nice.

First, scouting is just about the only thing they can do - the F1 circus is hardly camped outside Räikkönen's door. To find him a way back into a competitive seat must, as far as I can tell, involve some pretty subtle machinations.
Second you might have quoted the rest of my previous post for the gist of my argument: Räikkönen's management simply confirmed what could not be denied. But Boullier concocted his own little fairy-tale. In short, to answer your question, just about everything beyond confirming an informal visit was bang out of order on Boullier's part presupposing he was serious about negotiating with the Räikkönen-camp - but then again, he was never serious. Yet the dude had the gall to tap all he could of Räikkönen's superlative reputation to make it rub off on Renault, while at the same time trotting out that old chestnut: 'Kimi's wavering motivation.'
