I think apple is right. I noticed during Rally France while looking for pictures of Kimi that it was extremely difficult to find any pictures of him compared to earlier in the season...... it really seemed like he was hiding himself away or trying not to be photographed on purpose....Wolfie wrote:Apple said to me some weeks ago that she has the gut-feeling (yes rko281, gut-feeling ) that Kimi is slowly disappearing from the eye of the media because he wants to do sorko281 wrote:I say for his fans By now, he must now what he'll do, even if it's not official yet.Claudie_Schnaudie wrote:This are going to be some hard 3 weeks for him

yep but that was some weeks ago! dunno what he thinks now!SpaMaster wrote:He said nothing may happen in rally when asked about his rally options, not that he may not race anything.rko281 wrote:He also said this year that maybe he won't race anything in 2011 (don't remember exactly the quote).luieluv wrote:i still remember an interview from current year where kimi had said that he would surely be racing some where.SpaMaster wrote:^ Okay, I always thought he would continue in rallying after retiring from F1. Now if he retires, it means neither F1 nor WRC. I don't think retirement from both F1 and rally in 2011 was the original plan.
If you look back at Kimi during all these years, you'll see that he never rules out anything (except the Renault thing, but that went to far from Bouiller).
Kimi Kimi gimme just a little smile

Even if he would have the money it's not right that the rally-world takes advantage of his name like happened a little while ago
To hear people talk in public about how Kimi can drive for them but only if he brings in money... that alone should put Kimi off big time. Not because he wouldn't have the money or couldn't get sponsors, because they diminish him and put him down by telling they will have him IF he brings them money...
I guess the guys in Citroen Junior team will miss the massive attraction they got this year
Mar, thanks for all the information and insight, pure gold
To be changed soon - rko281, where are you??? LOL
Re: Speculation-thread: Will Kimi be in WRC or F1 next seaso
He every now and then points uot to the media that retirement is also an option... the problem is tha the media usually doent take it as a serious option and just spekulates abut his motorsport options ... look at the last news on wrc site when they where lisiting ALL his options (after japan): one of them was also retirement/sabaticall ....Claudie_Schnaudie wrote:yep but that was some weeks ago! dunno what he thinks now!SpaMaster wrote:He said nothing may happen in rally when asked about his rally options, not that he may not race anything.rko281 wrote:He also said this year that maybe he won't race anything in 2011 (don't remember exactly the quote).luieluv wrote:i still remember an interview from current year where kimi had said that he would surely be racing some where.SpaMaster wrote:^ Okay, I always thought he would continue in rallying after retiring from F1. Just seen a picture from the Korean GP (Alo, Ham, Vet, Web, But + Bernie), all the title contenders.
Damn, Kimi "picked" the wrong year not to be in F1. What a season this is with 2 RedBull + 2 Mclaren +1 Ferrari fighting for titles.
I know, he is doing what he likes, but can't help feeling that especially this year he should have been there. This year will remain in history, and the one that wins WDC will be over the moon after such a battle.

Don't think so, this year has been a great fight with 3 teams having cars that can win races, even if one was very dominant. It's a great season, as a Kimi fan, I felt a bit sorry that he's not there fighting, but that doesn't mean that I can't enjoy this great season.Claudie_Schnaudie wrote:I get the feeling that every year they say that this is the best wrc battle ever!rko281 wrote:Just seen a picture from the Korean GP (Alo, Ham, Vet, Web, But + Bernie), all the title contenders.

I, personally (this is always a personal feeling ), don’t agree.rko281 wrote:Just seen a picture from the Korean GP (Alo, Ham, Vet, Web, But + Bernie), all the title contenders.

I know people are saying this season is being incredible and so on, but I don’t see it as a special one.
It’s true there’re still 5 drivers fighting for the championship with only 3 races left, but the reason for that has not been the incredible performance showed by the drivers fighting for the championship, but the amazing amount of stupid mistakes those drivers have made (some of them also had bad luck).
Don’t know why, but I’m remembering right now (maybe because of what happened to Räikkönen today) a double world champion trashing his car on free practice in Monaco, being the consequence that he could not take part in qualifying, and another world champion also trashing his car in free training in Suzuka.
For me, it was hard the race in Spa. Something was missing there
Re: Speculation-thread: Will Kimi be in WRC or F1 next seaso
From what i see, this season is not even close to being the best in terms of precise driving. Driving that wins you the championship.rko281 wrote:Don't think so, this year has been a great fight with 3 teams having cars that can win races, even if one was very dominant. All the contenders except jenson have erred on numerous occasions with alonso and hamilton leading the pack of most erroneous drivers.
So its mediocre season in terms of driving but interesting in terms for spectators who just want close battles at any cost.
So its gonna be a mix of Ravishing Black and White for Kimi Raikkonen this season
