Now, if this is true , it is great, since:
it means the junior team will exist
if Kimi signs, it will stop mouths saying that he is not wanted in F1
he will be doing what seems to make him happier.....
it will stop us from being stressed....

^Well now it's time to get down to business. Kimi, wear that car like a lucky pair of undies! If dirt's your game let's show the Frenchie how it's done! (apologies to any Frenchies! Fun and games folks!)

To be fair though this http://www.f1crazy.moonfruit.com/ is the source of the 'news'. I am surprised that it has not been picked up by more of the better known sites.

as pyper commented I also are very skeptic over the reability of the news.... the twitter account has been put upp 4 days ago!!! so i think its just somebody who wants to get his site known....

even if I still believe that Kimi continues in rally.

by the way, is it just me who have read that they are not allowed to have these sort of satellite teams anymore ->they have to change them to private teams? I think wilson have somewhere said that he hopes that the rules should not be changed jet?

But a private red bull rally team wouldn't be a bad thing ether :) -> they already compete in the lower classes and now when the monster team are also i WRC...

But lets wait and see...

Heres the entire story :

2007 Formula one world champion, Kimi Raikkonen, has just signed a new two year deal with Citroen Junior Team which will keep him in the WRC until at least the end of 2012.

Rumours had started to appear once again after the fiasco and the Turkish GP, however with Webber and Vettel making up, it looks as if Red Bull have offered the Aussie a new one year deal with the Austrian team.

Kimi Raikkonen was a possibility to replace Mark, however that has now ended and Kimi will stay in the WRC for another two years.Kimi is happy in the WRC and he believes next years cars would "suit (his) driving style".

A fifth place in only his fifth rally was an excellent result and Kimi could become a future WRC world champion.

The announcement is likely to be made in July. Webber's contract with Red Bull could be announced sometime in the next three weeks.
So its gonna be a mix of Ravishing Black and White for Kimi Raikkonen this season

Neil Cole on the news that Kimi signed Citroen deal : "I don't believe it; it could happen, but I think it's waaaaaaay to early for anything to be signed yet"

Well, IF it's true, that he signed, it's awesome! He should be there, where he is happy and I hardly believe, that that's F1 nowadays..... :zz:

All in all....I'm still waiting for Kimi's confirmation in that case....

Dont think so.......is red bull kimi merchandise selling like hot cakes...then also I doubt they would give him a 2 year contract that also in the middle of his firsts season.

Kimi Red Bull -merchandise would be sold out in a flash if they would be found somewhere

One thing is strange though, I read an interview with Dieter Mateschitz today, from last summer, and Dieter said 'Everybody knows that I have a very close relationship with Kimi'.

Then Bild had an interview with Vettel in March and just look at his last sentence, it makes you think that Dieter has given free hands to Kimi - everything is possible if he has a good relationship with the Big Man himself.... Jukka Mildh described Dieter as Enzo Ferrari, Piero Ferrari again said that Enzo would have loved Kimi - one thing is for sure, Dieter must have people bowing in front of him and Kimi is not one of them, it might be the reason he is so crazy about Kimi :zz:

BILD IS TAKING KIMI TO RED BULL

Turun Sanomat 28.3 2010 18:33:23

Bild Zeitung claimed they got hints that Räikkönen would be offered a 3-year deal in Red Bull and his salary would be about the same as Vettel's.

Bild asked Vettel what kind of relationship he has with Räikkönen.

– We are really good friends. Kimi is a little better in badminton and he can stay in sauna longer than me. Finns are unbeatable in that, Vettel said.

Has Räikkönen's deal been made already?

I don't know about the team's plans. But in the end it's Kimi's decision. Only he knows what he wants to do, Vettel said.
