Kubica happy with the rally 'rest'

"I came here to be broken" - Robert Kubica speaks about the implementation of his passion for racing on the Italian roads.

Last weekend Robert Kubica fans watched his actions in the 46th Rally del Friulano Delle Alpi and the Orient. Polish driver - piloted by James Gerber - did a niegorzej than behind the wheel of the machine not roofed, dominating in the class of vehicles, axle, and the whole ride ending at the 13th place in the general classification.

It is noted that the opportunity to participate in rallies - often expressed in terms of passion Kubica - is a privilege for which the driver could not count, representing the colors of the BMW Sauber.
"I came here to be broken. I must be careful not to take any risks, because my job is the right place for Formula One. But even I love the challenge posed to adapt to the rally." [Robert Kubica]

Kubica to enter Rallye d'Antibes

Kubica, happy at RenaultRenault Formula 1 driver Robert Kubica will return to his Clio S1600 for this weekend's Rallye d'Antibes in the south of France.

Entering the penultimate round of the FIA European Rally Championship will give the Polish driver the opportunity to tackle some of the world's finest asphalt roads - many of which he should have competed on during January's Monte Carlo Rally.

His entry on the Monaco-based season-opener was cut short when his Renault Clio R3 was hit by engine problems just two miles into the rally.

Driving an older-specification Clio S1600, Kubica will start from car #20 and will face stiff competition from the drivers of more modern Super 1600 machinery, including Czech driver Jan Cerny and his Citroen C2 R2 Max.

Kubica will be co-driven on the Antibes-based event by countryman Jakub Gerber.

The event starts with two stages on Friday night before visiting classics such as Col de Bleine and Turini over the weekend. The 14 stages comprise 161 competitive miles and finishes back in Antibes on Sunday afternoon.
