Hey, it's not a mullet look! No way LOL Mullet haircut is - as Wiki says - short at the front and at the sides and long in the back. Kimi's hair is long at the front, long at the sides and long in the back. :O

Well....I got the impression, that it's a mullet, cuz of the fact, that he is always wearing a goofy cap, which hide the other parts of the head....

Block gains a new co-driver for Portugal test

Monster World Rally Team driver Ken Block has been boosted by a short test prior to the Vodafone Rally de Portugal, during which former Ford factory driver Markko Martin sat in with him to give him a few hints and tips.

Block completed 70 kilometres at the wheel of the Ford Focus RS WRC on Monday, using gravel roads that were representative of those he will face over the weekend. It was the first time that the American had driven the Focus since the Rally of Turkey more than one month ago.

Block concentrated on suspension set-up work and also his driving style with the help of Martin. The Estonian, who drove for Ford from 2002 to 2004, has tested for the team on a regular basis but was sitting in with Block for the first time.

Monster World Rally Team manager Derek Dauncey said: “One of our biggest challenges this year has been getting Ken and Alex sufficient seat time in the Ford Focus, which made yesterday’s test crucial for us. It was the first time that Ken has actually been able to give input during a test on suspension changes and mapping options. The result is a car more fine-tuned for Ken’s driving style. In addition to making changes to the vehicle, we also brought ex-Ford WRC driver Markko Martin in to sit with Ken to provide advice on driving technique. Overall it was a very productive test and we look forward to seeing it pay off this weekend at Rally Portugal.”

Block has shown promising speed on both the World Rally Championship events he has contested so far, in Mexico and in Turkey, running in the top 10 on his debut. However, he has admitted that lack of testing has so far proved to be his biggest barrier to making progress.

“That’s been the biggest problem,” he said after Turkey. “Hopefully, with more time in the car, things will get a little easier for us.”

Raikkonen says results not important

By David Evans Tuesday, May 25th 2010, 08:28 GMT

Red Bull World Rally Championship driver Kimi Raikkonen has admitted his result from this week's Rally of Portugal is not important to him, as he's more interested in getting to the end of the Faro-based event.

Raikkonen missed the last round of the championship in New Zealand, but will now contest every rally until the end of the season. The only rally where he has any previous experience is his home event, Rally Finland.

"It's fair to say that everything is completely new to me," said the former Formula 1 world champion. "I've been testing in France, but it's not the same as being in competition.

"The other drivers have been to New Zealand - which wasn't on my programme - and they also know the Rally of Portugal well, so it's not going to be easy for us. That doesn't really bother me though, as I am here to learn more than anything else.

"The final result at the end of the rally doesn't matter to me really: it's all about how much information I can take away for the future. We're just continuing our improvement step by step."

Raikkonen collected his best ever result on the Rally of Turkey last month, when he finished fifth in his Citroen Junior Team C4 WRC.

Consistency the key for Villagra

Argentinean Rally Champion Federico Villagra is hoping the consistent form he has shown so far this season will enable him to challenge Ford rival Henning Solberg at the forthcoming Vodafone Rally de Portugal.

The Munchi’s Ford World Rally team driver has finished in the points on each of the four rallies he has tackled so far this year, and has his sights set on a fifth when he tackles the 335km of tricky gravel stages in the Algarve this week.

After finishing seventh in the 2009 Rally de Portugal, Villagra and his co-driver Jorge Perez Companc are looking to push their Ford Focus RS WRC harder this year in an effort to leapfrog their closest championship rival, Henning Solberg, who is just two points ahead in the drivers’ standings.

“Last time I was in Portugal it was a good rally for me but the rally is difficult with a lot of technical stages”, said Villagra, “We weren’t able to find the right speed and I had to drive slower than I wanted to but I am hoping that this year I will be able to find the right rhythm early on. I feel like I am steadily improving this year and have made no major mistakes so I just look forward to another steady performance in Portugal.”

Judging by the ads where we'we seen him without the hap, he just lets his hair grow as it was cut last Spring.
Maybe it's just me, but every time I see him with that huge cap, long hair and oversized sunglasses, I feel like he's hiding.
