McMurray wins in wild Talladega finish

Jamie McMurray took his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory since 2007 at Talladega, hanging on at the front through a pair of massive late accidents.
The race had been relatively calm until the final handful of laps, when first a red flag was required after a multi-car crash sent Ryan Newman end over end down the track at the end of the backstretch.
This led to a green-white-chequered flag finish, which ended under caution after another multi-car tangle left Mark Martin rolling through the tri-oval just before the final lap began. All the drivers involved were unhurt.
McMurray took the win ahead of Kasey Kahne with Joey Logano in third.
Jimme Johnson narrowly missed both incidents after having run a conservative race to take sixth place, extending his championship lead to 184 points over Martin.
