nomnomnom reminded me of a funny story. This week playing football at school, my friend ran at the ball as it was bouncing, volleyed it against a tree shouting OMNOMNOM. I rofled.

And well done Luiz. I always thought he wasn't such a bad racer. Not F1 material though, but who is??

Answer: Nico!!!

Nicolas "Nico" Hülkenberg, the name of this years GP2 Series Champion. He deserves it. He dominated the whole season, and beats his opponents with 22 points difference on Vitaly Petrov (who finishes 2nd in the world championship)

Nico Hülkenberg, Remember that name. Because at the moment, he is one of the biggest candidate to enter the Williams F1 Team in the one of the oncoming years. Especially when current Williams driver Nico Rosberg will make a move to the McLaren team ... Like the big autosport sites announced earlier.

Nico made his debut in karting in 1997, at the age of 10. In 2002 he became German Junior Karting Champion and the following year he won the German Kart Championship. 2005 saw his debut in German Formula BMW. His first season was a very successful one, with Hülkenberg dominating the championship and winning the title comfortably. He finished first in the Formula BMW world final but was stripped of the win after it was claimed he had brake-tested his rivals during a safety car period. He moved up to Formula 3 in 2006, winning one round in the German championship. He also joined the German A1 Grand Prix team for the 2006-07 season. Nine wins in his rookie season made him the most successful driver in A1GP history. It meant he almost single-handedly won Germany the championship with 128 points, 35 more than Team New Zealand. For 2007 he switched to the Formula Three Euroseries with the ASM team that had taken Lewis Hamilton and Paul di Resta to the last two championships. His first win came at the Norisring from 18th on the grid, he won again in the rain at Zandvoort and added a third at the Nürburgring. But he ran into trouble at Magny-Cours, being penalised in qualifying for passing the chequered flag twice, and crashing into Filip Salaquarda in the race. So Nico has been talented from the beginning on, but really started to be famous when he was announced by the Williams F1 team as their test driver for the 2008 F1 Season.

And now, in 2009. After a brilliant year with ART Grand Prix in GP2, Nico is the new champion. Congratulations

He's so like Rosberg, but I think he's better than him... not as good as Hamilton was in his GP2 title winning year, but if drivers like Nakajima or di Grassi get F1 drives next year and Nico doesnt then I will go mad. He's beaten all the seasoned pros (especially Petrov, who in the better car still sucks). He's whooped Maldonado and di Grassi as well. Absolutely stunning to win the series with 1 round left... Just a shame I had to watch the year on streams... I want a season review of GP2 on DVD!!!
