What was so bad about Kimi that you made him the worst driver? Doesn't make any sense to me. SMHRachael-The-Great wrote:1 - Webber and Button
2 - Brawn and Red Bull
3 - Alonso and Webber battle.
4 - There kinda wasn't one.
5 - Raikkonen, give it up mate.
6 - Toro Rosso.
7 - The crash at the start and the fact only 14 cars finished.
8 - Pretty boring tbh. The only good bit was the start.

Yeah, Kimi started from P16 and was P10 when he got technical problems. I can't understand how someone can see him as the worst driver of this GP.sejtur wrote:What was so bad about Kimi that you made him the worst driver? Doesn't make any sense to me. SMH

Agreed. It is just because he cant finish his race, so u classsified him as a worst driver.Tommi wrote:Yeah, Kimi started from P16 and was P10 when he got technical problems. Re: Rate the 2009 Spanish Grand Prix
1 - Best Driver
I'm neither a Massa nor a Ferrari fan, but I'd say Massa. I know he ran out of fuel, but it shows how hard he's pushing in that poor Ferrari, and he troubled the podium for a time.
Special mention to Button, cos he was great, Webber, ditto, and Alonso, very solid with two amazing manouvres (even if only 1 gained him a place).
2 - Best Team
Brawn for regaining the advantage.
3 - Best Overtake
Alonso on Massa. I know Massa was slow, but it was so lairy the way he went off the track to get in front before the corner. Hamilton on Piquet was more KERS on Piquet than anything else, and Webber and Alonso can't really be called an overtake..
4 - Best Moment
However, that was one of the best moments, that Webber/Alonso scrap. Plus the start accident was super-cool.
5 - Worst Driver
Nakajima. Can't seem to string a race together like he could last year. Hamilton, Kubica and Glock are candidates.
6 - Worst Team
McLaren by a mile. So slow.
7 - Biggest Surprise
A decent start crash, the first really good start crash since Turkey 2006.
8 - General Comment
It was a strategy fest, but still fun to see where people came out. If Barrichello and Webber had been closer to Button that would have made a great finale on top of Massa's fuel issue. But it's wasn't so great.
The Alonso/Webber scrap was amazing - Alonso had two wheels on the grass at 200mph and then Webber's dive back through was so lairy. Amazing stuff.
China - 9/10
Malaysia - 8/10
Australia - 7/10
Bahrain - 6/10
Spain - 6/10 - Not quite as good as Bahrain, and nowhere near the other GPs, but it was still interesting, with the Brawns infighting, Massa as the rogue element and the two different strategies.
EDIT: I would also say that this was the best Spanish Grand Prix in years, not by a long way, but by two clear points (2004 = 4/10, 2005 = 4/10, 2006 = 4/10, 2007 = 3/10, 2008 = 3/10, 2009 = 6/10). the race had a plot and a certain amount of action with the first corner, the battles between Alonso/Webber, Kubica/Raikkonen, Massa/people, and the excitement and competativeness of the lead 6's races.. There were 2 distinct battles (1st-6th, 7th-12th) and those battles didn't spread out too much and had enough variation of strategy to be mildly interesting.

No, I'm not calmer. Just more jaded.

Re: Rate the 2009 Spanish Grand Prix
1 - Best Driver
Button and Alonso. Button for not putting a foot wrong the whole race and Alonso for being strong enough to place a hopeless Clio as "best of the rest".
2 - Best Team
Brawn. Hands down.
3 - Best Overtake
Webber/Alonso fight. Really tough, really good fighting! Brilliant from both.
4 - Best Moment
When I realised Massa had not enough fuel onboard...Absolutely nothing against Massa, I really like him and he'd deserved better, but one man's death is another man's bread...(Swedish saying, but you get the idea - sorry Felipe baby)
5 - Worst Driver
Don't think anyone was bad, but I expected a bit more from Rosberg, he had a great strategy being more heavily fuelled than anyone else in top ten but nothing came out of it.
6 - Worst Team
Ferrari. What ARE they doing? Kimi out in Q1, cars breaking down by the minute, no fuel in Massa's car...Shall I go on?
7 - Biggest Surprise
Massa running out of fuel.
8 - General Comment
I know Barcelona has a reputation for being boring, but I wasn't bored at all...

Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Re: Rate the 2009 Spanish Grand Prix
1 - Best Driver - JB, great season so far, 4 victories and not the slightest driver error, not even in qualifying. Top notch
2 - Best Team - Brawn, the "big" teams talked the talk, but Brawn walked the walk.
3 - Best Overtake - Not really an overtaking, but Alonso on Hamilton, when Fernando came out of the pits.
4 - Best Moment - The Alonso - Webber fight and the Kimi - Heidfeld fight.
5 - Worst Driver - Sutil, he ran full throttle over the runoff area straight into Trulli and blamed Jarno afterwards. Sutil you stupid man!
6 - Worst Team - McLaren, awful car.
7 - Biggest Surprise - The huge start crash and of course the fuel tragedy with Massa´s car.
8 - General Comment - One of the best Spanish GPs in years, Brawn a little surprisingly still very much on top. Webber finally managed to beat Vettel, the F60B is quite good and the McLaren is still awful aerodynamically. Monaco might be much tighter, I expect Hamilton, Heidfeld and Alonso to be spot on there. Vettel and Brawn fighting for the win again.
