sounds interesting......they'll run with kers right? though i can see that this kers thing might be a main cause of reliability issues...
from what i have heard is not the different wheelbase but one KERS compatible and other incompatible.

I think all tops team will start season without kers.
No its definately long wheelbase and shorter wheelbase. Or at least what I read.
Its HUGE task ... i have full doubt about this theory!.

Ferrari has started development of F2009(?) since January or March. Its no secret they struggle to keep pace with other teams...
"I can't deny we are running a bit late. Let's say that I would like to have tried our system already. We have a lot to do but time is short. Even though we have two weeks more compared to the past, we must follow the collective tests calendar. There's a test in mid January and we can't miss it," shared technical director Aldo Costa to 'Gazzetta dello Sport'.

Certainly Mclaren has more resources than Ferrari ..so it might be possible.

I Don't know how everyone feels right now (specially the non Hamilton fans), but i kind if don't really care much?!? I guess it would probably be the same if Massa won... something about the anti-climax after the last race :)

I was wondering today, what would happen if the OLD point scoring system was used (which i firmly believe is better than the current one, because it encourages more overtaking - more points )

And in the OLD system the situation would be: Massa: 83 Hamilton: 80

I think Bernie's "gold medal" system would be better, because the driver who has more WINS is more deserving in my book, than the one that just cruises and collects points.

Its the same as in 2003 i think?? When Kimi almost won the WDC and had 5 wins less than MS...

In any case, my point is that there is a lot of things wrong in the modern F1, and engine regulation are not one of them (so to the FIA - leave the manufacturers to do what they want)

That pic of Ron, Lewis and Whitmarsh is nice, they´re joking about Ron´s promise, that Hamilton will get the orange McLaren F1, if he wins 3 titles, his dream car. Well that model is a good start, good to finally see them laughing and having a joke. The whole McLaren team seems much more likeable without fat Norbert Haug.

btw: What is the story behind those red apples on thei jackets? I saw Sir Alex Ferguson wearing it as well.

Their not apples. They're called poppies, and are worn in Britain as a mark of respect for those who have died and fought for Britain in conflict in the past.

I knew they were poppies but now I look at them again they do look a bit like apples!

Anyone think Lewis will get the 3 titles he needs, if so, when?

A peak audience of 13.05m in Britain saw the thrilling F1 title decider on Sunday. The average audience of the live broadcast was 8.75m. It was ITV’s highest audience for an F1 race, and their final live broadcast of the sport.

It’s almost twice as much as the next most-watched race, the British Grand Prix, which attracted 4.53m. That aired on the same day as the Wimbledon final, which was watched by 7.57m on BBC1.
