50km shakedown is allowed .. Ferrari loves it :)

Come on, it's roughly 10~15 laps. Will it be enough?

Yes, I think so. Ferrari made it as guarantee as Lewis did his.
I don't know if thats sufficient; but Ferrari always uses that.I guess Ferrari also hv some testing mileage in their bags! Greater problem is Mclaren & Ferrari wheelbase change this year ...so last year was last year.

lewis drove a solid race, so congrats to him.

Congrats to Alonso too, who showed Heikki a thing or two, and was on similar pace to ferrari; They will have a fantastic car next year.

Overall, it was a bloody boring race. I think the past two races were so action packed and so many events happening, weve been brought back to the real world with China. very dull, sort of anti-climatic really

Congratulations to Lewis, great race. I didn´t expect it in that way to be honest. I thought Kimi would win the start or at least pressurize Hamilton in the first stint. But Hamilton won the start and never looked back. Very very good performance.

The Ferrari team orders were normal, EVERY team would have done that in that situation.

Congrats to Hamilton again, this is his year after all, but Ferrari will at least win the constructor´s championship, which is better than nothing, isn´t it Ron? :)

very nice ratings shail69, except Hamilton. I would modify his rating from "good performance" to "very good performance", because Piquet also got a "good performbnce" from you, but Lewis was certainly better :)

Well, that certainly wasn't the most exciting race. Now Hamilton has a 7-points-advantage against Massa, of course that seems to be a lot, but judging by what happened last year, it isn't.

About the team order: That was pretty obvious! However I don't understand that rule at all. Naturally, we don't want another farce like at Austria some years ago, but team orders in the closing stages of a championship should be allowed in my opinion. It's all about prestige in Formula 1, so surely every teams wants their drivers to be the best in the end.

I had forgot to change his rating from last race.

Done it now

shail69´s ratings are better. You rated Kimi and especially Heidfeld too high.

Barrichello, Bourdais and Coulthard are too low on your ranking.

But that´s just my oppinion.

My idea is: Let´s make a voting, who of you two should provide the driver ratings in 2009. Either shail 69 or you phil. The majority decides, because two different ratings by two persons is unneccessary and I don´t like the fact, that a small "battle" between you two guys seems to develop.

I'm not intentionally battling. I'm just writing them. We dont need a vote, why can't both of us do them? If you wanna have vote fine.

It´s no insult mate. I´m just stating my point.

You have two different philosophys of doing the ratings, shail69 try´s to comment in a clinical way and I think his rating system is better, "good performance, average performance" etc. I think it explains more to the reader than 2/10 points for example. Ok one knows 2/10 is bad, but how bad? and what´s the difference between 2/10 and 3/10? hard to materialize.

So if you both want to write driver ratings let´s put them into a special thread: shail 69´s driver ratings and phil1993 driver ratings.

You don´t read the Guardian and afterwards the Sun do you? :)
