but no for real thats just unrealistic, everybody is there to race, hamilton should be able to understand that?

I thought the same thing... DC always crash with those that are trying to overtake him... You can only try it if you have a lot of room...

+1
Those were my exect thoughts, if Hamilton took a bit more risk, he might have been in the wall, because... It is DC!! And if he ended up in the wall, he didn't gain anything of the race. Better 7 points, then just 1..

No driver would say that. That must of been taken out of context or even made up.

I find it amusing when Alonso and Hamilton fans don't want to believe their drivers' comments which are a bit improper every now and then, but you know, the papers can't be wrong too many times. :tired:

Anyway, here's the full interview it seems:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/ ... 848261.ece
“It wasn't brilliant,” Hamilton said of his performance in Formula One's first night race. “Winning would have been good, but I felt I was a bit unlucky. I was stuck behind David Coulthard and hoped my fellow Brit might help me out, but he was in the points and wanted a good result.

And from now on, every British driver knows their duty: Mind you Button, DC (as though he's scottish), Webber (the old colony, he should help)! "You should open the door whenever you see me coming or shouldn't try to overtake me. It will harm your patriotism or nationalism. Anthony Davidson should also be alerted to watch out the rivals and take notes to be reported to me after each race. Tony Blair must drop whatever he is doing right now and should help me in the way to the championship. Come on, it's not for sport but it's for Brtish people and of course companies and my sponsors. Come on British drivers, you're all entitled to give the title to me, to your fellowman."

Man, what a championship. I now understand why we should listen national anthems on the podium. Patriotism is all what we needed. Damn it, you're idiot Ali. You must have understood it ages ago. Geez!

I tell you what I love even more? When people completely blow things out of proportion.

Yeah man, you're right. Hamilton did really blow things out of proportion this time. I've really appreciated your criticism on Hamilton even if you're a fan of him. Well done and thank you for being so fair.

I was talking about you, you had a point until you started talking about Tony Blair.

I knew you knew as I could tell from the way you said it.
If Hamilton actually said that (I disbelieve it still) and it wasn't taken out of context then I have lost respect for him. You can't expect people to jump out of your way in racing. Unless you are getting lapped.

talk about taking something out of context lol.

3 things...

A. Hope != Want
B. Might != obligated to
C. Quotes are within a pair of ' " ' and dont just end whenever you want them to end

But what the hell. its Arrogant RACECAR Drivar who said that. i say we kill him! chop him up in bits and pieces and feed him to the fishes at the MTC for saying such blasphemy!
