How can there possibly be less overtaking than in Valencia when there was none there?
Or maybe there was like one overtake, but that was pretty much it.

Yeah that will be good. I will be literally running home from school to catch the end of FP2.
Also is the bit that goes under the grandstand reasonably safe? Its seems dangerous if a car crashes in there.

There were 2 proper overtakes at Valencia.
no.1) DC on Piquet at Turn 1.
no.2) Naka on Rubens at Turn 23.
In theory then, there could, within the realms of possibility, be less overtakes.
However, it looks like it will definately rain, and it also looks like people who attack kerbs (namely Hamilton and Alonso) will damage their cars at some point at turn 10. The race could potentially be entertaining.

Damn,I'm stuck in maths doing quadratics while the first 2 ever practice sessions at night are going on.Atleast the F1Zone members provide plenty of insight into the goings on at practice.I still think nearly all of the people on this forum would make a better pundit than Mark Blundell on ITV.

Yeah!
Having moaned about the evils of those kerbs, I would love to see someone attack them and then be pitched into the wall a la Button Canada 2005.

I quite like Brundle, even if Fernando Alonso speaks better English than him..
"The tyres, what he has just put on.."
lol at people who can't differentiate properly between 'that' and 'what'

Singapore appears to have won its bet: this weekend will not contest the first Formula 1 Grand Prix at night on a circuit not usually prepared in a few months in a prestigious and informed by more than 1,500 projectors.
The runway of Singapore has 23 turns and twists in the district of the marina. It borrows roads open to traffic in normal times and simulations carried out by teams provide an average speed of 175 km / h.
The line of booths is on the seafront and is located a few meters from the "Singapore Flyer", Ferris wheel 150 feet high described as the largest in the world. A unique perspective to attend a Formula 1 race!
Other highlights of this circuit, one of only three of the season to turn in the opposite direction clockwise (with Istanbul and Interlagos), the turn number six, just before the Pan Pacific hotel, that organizers as the curve of the fastest Formula 1. The cars to cross before reaching their peak speed on this circuit, about 290 km / h.
With a projector 2000 watts every four meters pilots should be seen almost as broad daylight. The light provides a total of 3000 lux light intensity, four times more than a football stadium!
Commissioners also racing n'agiteront no flags: these will be replaced by 35 panels with LED lights located along the runway. The panels include light yellow, red, green or blue as appropriate.
Indeed, the only real concern for drivers once again lies in the weather. The equator is only 130 kilometers south of Singapore and in these regions for the evening are often conducive to severe tropical storms. And pilots are not excited about driving at night in the rain.

Those kerbs look good, exactly how they should be. We also need gravel traps back on tracks like Spa or Hockenheim. But they left a lot of space in the area around the kerbs, so it´s still possible for the cars to cut the chicane...I hate it when they do it. Nothing to do with the Spa incident, I simply hate to see modern F1 driving off the road and having no disadvantage, look up "Berger funny jump" on youtube, it´s from the 89 season and Berger´s Ferrari gets torn apart, simply by getting on the kerbs. That´s how F1 was, mistakes were punished. Let´s get back to those days please.
