Great choice of song! Seeing Antony Hamilton at the end made me think what I always think when I see him, what a knob.syncmaster wrote:Just watch the F~0~M clip of Singapore it was so awsome. After seeing it my felt like crying for Ferrari

What is Eid Mubark? This is a complete guess to forgive me if it is way off the mark, but is it to do with Jewish New Year?

Autosport.com wrote: Red Bull Racing suspect that Mark Webber's retirement from the Singapore Grand Prix may have been caused by static electricity produced by a nearby tram.
Webber was forced out of the Singapore night race with his first mechanical failure of the season, just as it seemed he was on course to take a podium finish thanks to a brilliant pit call by his team under the first safety car.
But Webber pulled into the pits on lap 30 with a broken gearbox when it tried to select two gears at once. And without an obvious explanation for the problem, team principal Christian Horner suspects that total freak circumstances were to blame.
"At Turn 13 the gearbox selected two gears at one," Horner told Mark Hughes in this week's Autosport Singapore Grand Prix report. "The moog valve controlling the gearshift had been triggered into changing to seventh while he was still in fifth.
"Yet after interrogating the software we can see that it at no time was allowing for this. We can see a momentary electrical surge at the precise moment, which seems to have triggered the moog valve.
"It was exactly what [Toro Rosso] suffered from with (Sebastien) Bourdais in Friday practice, at exactly the same place. A tram line runs beneath the track at that corner and it seems as if static from a passing tram at the very moment Mark was in the corner passed through the ground."

well as seen from the dry practice in 2007, ferrari has the upper hand on mclaren in japan so i hope it does not rain.

I just checked, Ferrari only topped FP1 and FP2 was a McLaren 1-2. FP3 was topped by Wurz which was red flagged due to the rain I believe.shail69 wrote:well as seen from the dry practice in 2007, ferrari has the upper hand on mclaren in japan so i hope it does not rain.
Re: 2008 Formula 1 SingTel Singapore Grand Prix
Last year, they were superior to McLaren in those aerodynamic circuits rather than mechanical ones so Fuji was one of those circuits where Ferrari would (should) dominate in dry as Alonso was reported to say. Fuji is as it consisted of two different types of circuit, the first part is flat out and the second one is twisty. Ferrari still had slight edge over McLaren last year. However in 2008, McLaren improved their deficiency but still we couldn't evaluate the "real" difference between a McLaren and a Ferrari car in such circuits. In France, Hamilton had been penalised causing him to stuck into traffic so we couldn't get the clear idea albeit Ferrari drivers seemed to be way quick; in British GP, there was rain. In Turkey, Hamilton seemed to be quick with an aggressive three stop strategy and eventually in Spa, Kimi was faster until it rained.Fergie1 wrote:I just checked, Ferrari only topped FP1 and FP2 was a McLaren 1-2. So Ferrari seems to have the upper hand in dry in sweeping Fuji but it's not as guarantee as in last year. We can expect a head-to-head battle.

Last year is past, now we are dealing in present so y should we discuss about last years Fuji race. For example last year Canada race we saw Hamilton wining and this year he crashed into Kimmi.Ferrari after testing in Italy they said that they have over come the Tyre problems so hope Ferrari be strong in wets from this race to the end of the season
