hey guys,

i just came back from attending the Singapore GP here. It was an amazing experience. The lighting made all the cars look so shiny that it totally felt so unreal. I bought the cheapest walkabout tickets but i must say that they are possibly the best! i could stand at many many places just metres away from the cars themselves all around the track, closest i stood was 2 metres away after the cars coming out of the "tunnel" (turn 19) and the slow turn 13 after anderson bridge. At turn 13 i could even see into the visors of the drivers. Seriously cool. It was interesting to see so many cars bottoming out having sparks thrown out from the back so frequently and it really reminded me of the past era grand prix!

After watching the support races in the afternoon, mainly the Porsche Carrera Cup, Aston Martin Cup and the Formula BMW, it really reminded me that F1 have the very best drivers in the sport. F1 drivers were really pushing to the limit everywhere, sticking so close to the walls and using as much road as possible all the time while it was evident that the other series drivers weren't even close to doing so.

On another note, I'm extremely happy to have gotten polaroids of Vettel and Nico Rosberg and got them autographed. Met Barrichello and Button too but didn't managed to get theirs. I didn't even realised i was walking just beside Sebastian Buemi and past Martin Whitmarsh while walking towards the paddock entrance. It's amazing how close we could get to them in this event even though I was just holding the cheapest tickets. I will go earlier tomorrow to try to get and others. Will post the pictures here after i got them scanned =)

I'm extremely happy with this event, and although i'm kinda expecting the racing to be quite boring (we'll see how it goes though), the spectacle of this race is honestly enough to satisfy me. I would highly reccomend this grand prix.

They whine as soon as it isn't like Bahrain or Shanghai. Get over it.

There is very small gap between Lewis and Massa and most important Ferrari was quick in all the sectors in FP1 that means Ferrari may have a edge over Mclaren unless Massa or Kimmi get it right for the lap which is more important

hamilton seems to have an advantage over massa in sector 2 where he is about 4 tenths faster than massa. But massa is fatser than lewis in both the other secors.
So massa needs to improve in his second sector.

Yeah, I personally like the bumps and the circuit, including that "****" chicane, Phil.. :p

It's no compromise, and I like that, and although people are complaining about the bumps, and the chicane, it's the same for everyone.

However they should make sure the pitlane entry and exit are better. They can change those, as well as making sure everywhere is fully lit.
No, I'm not calmer. Just more jaded.

It's spectacular to see Formula One cars at night! It's like being under the Monaco tunnel all the time :)

More drivers comlained about the bumps and the lights: Trulli, Kubica and Coulthard also complained about both these things. Besides that, Charlie Whiting said that they have to have another look ate the pitentry and pit exit, because they are both on the racingline, in a very fast corner, so there is still a lot of work to do in Singapore

ITV confirmed that Alonso's FP2 top time was indeed set on low fuel banzai lap.

"I’d say it requires double the energy of Monaco over a single lap. One lap around here is like two laps of Monaco!" -- Massa
