Massa was lighter for 1 lap in qualifying in Valencia, so this time I think Hamilton will go light to grab pole position. I think for both title contenders is important to start from pole. I think Hamilton will win and Massa will be second. As for third there are few drivers who can grab it. I hope it'll be Kovy. :D It might be boring race, but with small amount of rain it could be awesome race weekend:D

See ya

Shame they have power backups :( I was hoping it is a possibility :D

Joking on that one btw.... but anyway, i really hope there will be good race, because we need a good street circuit race after Monaco showed its only interesting when it rains, and Valencia was big flop (Probably the most boring race of the season, if you take out the Ferrari pit stop guys)

What i was looking forward to, was seeing the brakes glowing at night, and maybe a few flames going out of the exaust... you know the kind of things that would be more obvious at night :)

And if its a dry race... it will probably be a Hamilton - Massa duel like it was in Valencia

September has an average of 10.8 days of rain in Singapore and 14.9 days of thunder and lightning

The Singapore meterological office characterises the typical weather in the southwest monsoon season as follows:
Shower/thunderstorm activity occurs between predawn and midday. “Sumatra” squalls are common. Smoke haze is common during days of widespread dry weather. Occasional wind gusts of 12-22m/s. Intense thunderstorm activity lasts less than 30 minutes.
However it claims the chance of thunderstorms during the southwest is much higher in the morning:
During the southwest monsoon season, thunderstorm occurence is high between 0500hrs and 0600hrs
In terms of temperature:
The diurnal temperature variation is small and is observed to reach highs of 31-33C during the day and lows of 23-25C during the night

Montezemolo isn't very excited about Singapore:

"I have the feeling it will be one of those letdowns where you cannot overtake, like Valencia," he said.

"Keeping going with these kind of circuits is a bad idea for the future of Formula One."

I kind of agree with him, because the track may look good on paper, but in reality so does Valencia.

More circuits like Belgium, or the old Hockenheim is what i'd like to see... but i guess the modern F1 is going in the direction of cutting the track length. A shame really.

I guess we'll see what happens. I could be wrong and it could turn out to be a great race.

I agree with you, it will probably be like Valencia.

1. Since its no "real" track, the track will be very dirty and everyone will be slipping around on it on Friday.

2. As soon as sufficient rubber has been laid down everyone will be on that laid down racing line and everyone trying to deviate from it (overtake, etc) will have a hell of a rough time since is so slippery outside it. Few will be willing to take the chance.

That said, it's not the track's fault!!!

Not in Valencia and not in Singapore. The tracks may be great, but as long as we have these aero rules and tyre constructions this is situation we will have to live with, however grand the track might be.

It will be different next year with slicks and no winglets in absurdum.

I hope.

I dont agree that singapore will be as boring as valencia. Well I guess we will have more retirements because of the fact that they are racing in night, that might be good for someone while not so good for others. I honestly think there will be more overtakings in gp. Remember my word

1) Who will take Pole and who will win the Race?
Felipe Massa, Felipe Massa
2) Which three drivers will be on the podium?
Massa, Raikkonen, Hamilton
3) Who will lead the WDC after Singapore, Lewis (78pts) or Felipe (77pts)?
If I'm predicting Massa to win then he will be leading, and I doubt Hamilton will win the appeal, so Massa will be leading.
4) How many safety cars will there be?
1 because there will be an incident at the start.
5) Who will lead the constructors’ championship after Singapore, Ferrari (134pts) or McLaren (129pts)?
Ferrari.
6)What are your thoughts/expectations of the Singapore Street Cirucit?
Not high. This is just a normal race but it's a night. Held on a new street circuit with no overtaking (straights aren't very long and track will be dirty) this could be a boring race. But I'm excited that history will be made!

Still Ferrari, Kovalainen has to be more consistent!!
I should disagree on this point. Cmon Kovalainen is pretty consistent and i strongly believe he is gonna split the party at the top this time in Singapore.

Well, i like Kovaleinen... because you have to admit, he is a likable guy, always smiling and talking to the press.

But, the results haven't really been coming to him, and looking at the points, he is not only behind his teammate or the ferrari drivers, but behind both BMW drivers. That's not really a good performance as far as i'm concerned.
