Kimi's crash had nothing to do with what Hamilton did.
Maybe he was pissed off of himself because he have done 2 mistakes in row again and the second was "deadly"...
I think that both of them, deserved and deserved not the win yesterday.
Very tricky last moments...
But clearly Hamilton deserved that penalty.

About hamilton penalty i you look the move by neutral no like a fan from mclaren or ferrari... a few points.

1. In the bus stop kimi has race lane and take the curve like any other pilot in the same situation
(please remember germany when hamilton overtake massa he got race line and push massa out the
track two times, nobody says nothing becuase its normal)

2. When hamilton cut the chicane get the advantage of the get better traction also get to close to kimi
in a normal condition on the track that can´t be possible. (this its not the first time hamilton get a
penalty like this in france in the first lap of the race cut a chicane and overtake a red bull if my
memory its right a get a drive trought a same discution in the forums are in that time like now)

3. FIA use the same criteria and aplied a 25 secs penalty like a drive trought on the race. hamilton has
penalty again the same on diferent race ( by the way remember 1997 shumacher was cut by a
penalty and no williams international asistence)

4. Hamilton must learn if he cut a chicane or curve can´t take advantage of anybody its to hard to do.

but if lewis got a drive through under those conditions he would've needed more than 25seconds.. so he was actually lucky to get only 25!!

I just wish Kimi has finished the race.. it's so difficult to swallow...

We looked at all our data and also made it available to the FIA stewards. It showed that, having lifted, Lewis was 6km/h slower than Kimi as they crossed the start/finish line.

Having passed the lead back to Kimi, Lewis repositioned his car, moving across and behind Kimi to the right-hand line and then outbraked him into the hairpin. Based on this data, we have no option other than to register our intention to appeal.

The team have also made it clear that their focus will now switch to next weekend's Italian Grand Prix, on Ferrari's home turf in Monza.

We are a racing team and now focus on Monza, with a view to extending our lead in the drivers' world championship

After looking another time the end of the race, I don't think Hamilton deserved the penalty for cutting the chichane BUT he deserve a penalty for changing the line 3 times on the straight after Eau Rouge ( normally you can change your line only once on a straight ).

But what a race! Last year's Spa GP was soooo boring! The last laps were the more exciting I've never seen in many years!

yes i guess but 25 sec penalty is wrong ..they should have given him something in next race or fined.Hamilton did had option but what he did is normal ..every racing driver would do

Interestingly ..now its coming out that Ferrari was worried about massa engine and as precaution change had lot of allowed Engine related parts.

Kimi thinks that Hamilton did benefit from cutting the chicane:

"If he had gone through the corner as he should have, he wouldn't have been in a position to even try to overtake me. Everyone have their own opinions. If there had been a wall, he would never have got through it."

Hamilton attacked Kimi aggressively, Kimi defended aggressively. There's nothing wrong in that. But just because Hamilton goes a little bit slower and lets Kimi's car to be a little bit in front of him for a while doesn't mean that he actually hands over the position. He was just where he was before, in the slipstream, and thus got past Kimi easily.

Nervous Ferrari keep engines cool at Spa

While most teams elected to decrease the amount of cooling to their cars for the Belgian Grand Prix, it has emerged that concerns over the longevity of their engine forced Ferrari to do the opposite.

After a spate of recent failures, the Italian marque elected to add further ventilation at the top of the side pods of the F2008 in an effort to preserve the engine.

McLaren also changed their cooling system for Spa Francorchamps, but as they were more confident about their Mercedes-Benz power plant, the radiator opening was decreased to make the car more aerodynamically efficient.

Ferrari was also nervous about Felipe Massa's engine after qualifying in Belgium, electing to change a spark plug and the entire wiring loom, with the consent of the FIA, while the car was in parc ferme.

Meanwhile, as he used the same engine that powered him to victory at Valencia, the Brazilian driver did not stretch his unit to its full 19,000rpm throughout the Grand Prix.

Since the engine freeze came into effect at the start of the season, Ferrari is rumoured to have added as much as 30bhp.

Car 02: Spark plug cylinder #5
Engine loom (CTP)
Power box
LHS coil

All above parts have been replaced with the approval of the FIA technical delegate following a written request
from the team concerned, this being in accordance with Article 34.1 of the 2008 Formula One Sporting
Regulations.

lewis didnt touch his left rear though. its why he had to cut the chichane in the first place. kimi touched lewis rear down at la source, OTOH. kimi just failed. (but ferrari arent going to say that are they?) you dont drive an f1 car on the curbs when its wet let alone when you're on dry tires and in the wet. you'd think after his crash on friday he would've learned that. from pouhon up until his crash he was using every run off as part of the track. while out of the Ferrari bunch Massa is the one i don't like the most, he'd be a more deserving champion than kimi this year, no doubt about that.

but apart from that, he doesnt seem to have an idea of what he's talking about. he doesnt seem to quite know that on entry to the corner hamilton was more than 3/4th of a car in front before he pushed him wide. well ok, he was busy and didnt' see lewis and that's perfectly fine if you dont drive a McLaren.
