Both engines that failed used the same batch of comrods, the cause of the failures so engine issues should not be a problem for Ferrari now.iceman1 wrote:I think Ferrari's race speed will be affected by their engine issues.
Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 Belgian Grand Prix
Before China last year Kimi was 17 points behind Hamilton and 5 behind Alonso and won the championship. If Kimi don't win at Spa its still not over.A points finish and a Lewis DNF would put him right in contention (With rain forecast at Spa and other variables in the last 6 rounds a DNF is more likely). And he's the kind of driver who can snap out of bad form and win a races.joostlamers wrote:Amenphil1993 wrote:If Kimi doesn't win at Spa, then Kimi won't win the title. Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 Belgian Grand Prix
I know, but its not just the points, its a mental thing. Kimi is the top driver on the top circuit and no-one else has won there since 2002, so he may well feel demoralised should he have (another) bad weekend.

I think Felipe Massa will win in his Ferrari. I am a McLaren Lewis Hamilton fan, but Spa is really a Ferrari circuit, so I think Felipe Massa is most likely to win. Kimi Raikonen has not been on form recently, so I think he is out of the picture. However, maybe this is the race were he will make a comeback. He did dominate at Spa-Francorchamps after all.
Lewis Hamilton for the 2008 Formula One World Championship!!!
Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 Belgian Grand Prix
All i wish is that Kimi wins & his form returns back.Already Ferrari has screwed his 2 races y their fault-Monaco & Silverstone. And then the exhaust failure in france where he was leading by miles & what he didn't was an engine failure in Valencia. So lots of bad luck since the Monaco GP. so lets wait for FP1 & FP2 & see where does Kimi & Ferrari stand against their opposition.

The team should not be blamed for all this, they didn't do it wantedly. And words of kimmi say it"We win as team and loose as a team"
Desire has no limits
Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 Belgian Grand Prix
it will be the inevitable Hamilton trying to set the fastest time, Ferrari doing heavy stints, BMW sandbagging in practice.

Deal, I'll do anything to get rid of that hideous avatar
New prediction:
Wet -> Kimi wins - but Massa will still spin ( I can't change that bit!)
Dry -> Kimi wins with Massa second and Hamilton third.
This will be Kimi's comeback race, for sure.
Better?
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

With six races remaining in this year's campaign Massa is firmly in the title hunt, sitting in second place behind championship leader Lewis Hamilton.
The Ferrari driver, though, could be in the lead had it not been for an engine failure that robbed him of the victory and a much-needed 10 points at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
The Brazilian bounced back from his disappointment to win the next race in Valencia, closing the gap to just six points and making him Klien's favourite for the title.
"I think we can now say that it has come down to a head-to-head between Hamilton and Massa," he told Credit Suisse magazine.
"I think Massa will get better in the second half of the season, and be very strong just like he was last season.
"There are some circuits on which the Ferrari is stronger than the McLaren. And Massa has also shown that he can perform at a consistent level this year.
"I think if it weren't for the accident in Hungary, he would be ahead now. He is certainly a very hot candidate, and at this point I would actually tip him to win it."
Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 Belgian Grand Prix
Why should we listen to Christian Klien? He was a mediocre driver at Jaguar/Red Bull and then avoided national service by becoming a BMW test driver.Nonetheless I really don't like the avatar of Ron Dennis...

When it's dry maybe then it's a Ferrari track, but who says it will be dry...SuperAngloF1 wrote:I think Felipe Massa will win in his Ferrari. He was an average driver, yes, but he makes a good test driver. Also, he's half right. Interlagos, China, possibly a dry Fuji and definately a dry Spa suits Ferrari. Hamilton could potentially be on the back foot during these races (although I don't see why you're so worried about Monza, joost'. That's a Hamilton victory if there ever was one).swca92 wrote:Why should we listen to Christian Klien? No, I'm not calmer. Just more jaded.
