Rate the European GP 2008 in Valencia
Re: Rate the European GP 2008 in Valencia
Only 2 points from me. Imao it was the worst race of the season. No overtaking, No tension and the local hero out after 1 corner. Very bad race.
I was very excited about the track before the weekend, now I think it´s a very artificial track without soul and great racing doesn´t seem to be possible. It was a procession like Monaco, even Hungary had more action and overtaking.
1. Best Driver: Felipe Massa
2. Best Team: McLaren
3. Best overtaking: Overtaking? Didn´t happen, except Nakajima on Barrichello.
4. Best Moment: Sutil crashing, because I really dislike him
5. Worst Driver: Räikkönen - That guy is world champion? pah
Worst Team: A tie between Honda and Ferrari
6. Best Rookie: None. Vettel was brilliant but isn´t really a rookie.
7. Most surprising Moment: Massa´s pit incident

Re: Rate the European GP 2008 in Valencia
1-Best Driver
Massa, he was dominating the race but everything was because he was gaining a lot in first sector, specially in turn 4 and 5
2-Best Team
Mclaen, for closing in on Ferrari for constructor championship.
3-Best overtaking
Well there wasent many and everybody was mentioning the nakajima's overtake on barichello. So I will have to go with nakajima's crash.
4-Best Moment
Massa finishing the race, and not failing to finish like in hungary. And of course knowing that Massa was given a fine and not pennalised of the win
5-Worst driver & worst team
Coulthard, was the last among the finishers
Ferrari, it just looked as if it wasent their day. it was looking like both of their drivers were let down by the team.
6-Best Rookie
Glock, he now looks like he is comfortable with the car and looks like he will be consistently finish in points for the rest of the season.
7-The most surprising moment
Kimi in his second pit stop, and his retirement. I was surprised when the ITV coverage started after the ad and they were showing kimi walking in the garage
8-General Comment
It could have been better but the chance of saftey car looked pretty slim when no one had a accident in the previous sessions.

1-Best Driver: Massa... he did everthing perfectly... great victory
2-Best Team: Toro Rosso... a good weekend in general. I like to see new teams having better and better results..
3-Best overtaking: The only one.... hehe
4-Best Moment: ????.... Maybe when Alonso was hit by Nakajima
5-Worst driver & worst team: Red Bull... they should have better results than that...
6-Best Rookie: Vettel...
7-The most surprising moment: Kimi accident in the pits. Not usual on him.
8-General Comment: Boooooooooooooooooooooring race. This race was quite better in Germany... Moreover...GP2 race was a thousand times better that the formula 1 race. Valencia is a beautiful city... but please, no more GPs there!!!

Re: Rate the European GP 2008 in Valencia
1. Neither Massa nor Hamilton nor Kubica can take this tag ! They all stuck to their starting positions .. I would choose the Toro Rosso guys - Vettel as my best driver for the race.
2. Toro Rosso - Clean pit stops & good work all through the weekend ..
3. Nakajima !!! on Rubens ... Nakajima is looking more like his fellow japanese counterpart - Takumo Sato !!
4. Raikkonen engine goes into fumes ...
5. David wins the worst driver's title hand's down & Ferrari can't be called worst team because they did nothing wrong .. It was kimi who jumped on .. So i don't think i would call any team to be worst for the day ..
6. Vettel & probably Glock can also fit into this ..
7. Only 3 retirements !!
8. It was a boring race. Just two overtaking moves and nothing more to fight on the track. Things could have been interesting in start, but once Hamilton held off Kubica seems like both settled for P2 and P3. So it was more or less they were driving around formally to finish the race. Kimi's engine blow was quite a surprise to me. But i believe its the same reason as Massa blew in Hungary, if Kimi's enigne hadn't been changed.

Re: Rate the European GP 2008 in Valencia
-Best Driver - Massa
2-Best Team - Toyota or Torro Rosso
3-Best overtaking - Heikki on Raikkonen (there wasn't that much!)
4-Best Moment - Massa's win stands
5-Worst driver & worst team - Raikkonen/Nakajima
6-Best Rookie - Glock
7-The most surprising moment - All the pit lane trouble and Alonso out in lap 1
8-General Comment - Not a very exciting race to begin with and then got worse for me, but I always watch to the end. Massa deserved the win and I gave it a 3 out of 10 as there was little excitement and the track is really good but the race somehow wasn't.

Re: Rate the European GP 2008 in Valencia
1-Best Driver - Massa
2-Best Team - Toyota
3-Best overtaking - none
4-Best Moment - spanish fans crying on Hamilton
5-Worst driver & worst team - many: Rubens, Kimi, Lewis, Heiki & Honda, Ferrari
6-Best Rookie - Glock
7-The most surprising moment - Massa said engine blow comes once in 10 years. Ok, that's the 2 in 3 weeks.
8-General Comment
Utterlly stupid ride for Kimi, bad not for a F1 champ, but even for a karting. Lewis was miserable, and Kovalainen is a s***. He tried everythin to stop Kimi, then after he retired stared to drive. Poor for him.

France 6/10
Turkey 5/10

In my opinion, Valencia was a quite boring race. I gave it +1 of its 3/10 ranking, because it's a new circuit. I hope next year will be better.

7. The most surprising moment: Ferrari's Mecanic accident due to a rare stupidity of Raikonnen
8. General Comment: BORING and expected it to be.. Normally a city race has accidents , then safetycar, then a closer pack every 15 or 20 laps. On this track (valencia), the drivers took their precautions and didn't crash from the beginning (FP1). So I was expecting it to be boring, but hey you gotta see the boring ones so you you cann better enjoy the more exciting ones
