Q: Mario, it means more pressure from behind for you. But you have said you want to be getting on terms with the two ahead.
MT: Well, it is never nice if you have to look back. We are pushing ahead but what I wanted to express is that we have moved resources from this year’s car to next year’s car already but we are still developing this year’s car and we have some developments in the pipeline for the races to come. We are still pushing ahead. You cannot predict any results, so we will see what we can do.

Just watch Sutil, Phil and Joost. There's your accident. Piquet too, looks like a broken Renault in potentia.
As for Alonso's fine, I don't think 10K matters a great deal to Alonso. If it was someone with a lower salary, that would be unfair, but for Alonso that's ok enough. At least there are no race ramifications.
By the way, what does being given an official reprimand entail?

No, I'm not calmer. Just more jaded.

Stupid punishment, we've seen numerous drivers doing the same without penalty. I'm fine with all rules as long as it's the same for everybody, but I've never seen anyone being penalized or fined for this particular "crime" before. out:

Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 European Grand Prix
As it's new track and unknown area for good setup of the car, everyone started on high downforce settings. And times were droping as teams were finding better setup and getting "safer" DF configuration. So it is to expected to see times droping even more in qualys, as track becomes faster. I wouldn't read to much from FP2 times, anyway.

Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 European Grand Prix
By seeing friday practice session results i can say it will be a 1,2 finish for the ferrari on sunday..............the track is nice wide and long straights and both high and low speed corners and more over taking responsibility, the race gonna be spectular. And also track so wide and has long roads so there is no problem when drivers spin or go off the track drivers will not hit the barriers and no one will be trapped in the gravel

Ferrari is strong at this weekend. And Williams too. Liked to see Massa at pole, and Räikkönen wins the race. But there's maybe some surprises at quali. Like Glock, Vettel, Alonso, Kubica, Rosberg and why not Jenson Button.

Yeah I desperately expect Kimi will win on Sunday..
Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 European Grand Prix
well looking at friday practice sessions, ferrari look set to grab role but race is still a mystery with saftey car's and other things.
Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 European Grand Prix
a surprise winner maybe? - Alonso, Trulli, Heidfeld (people in the midfield) could win with SC help i think

We can't watch the saturday practice, ITV feed doesn't show it, it says it's back for the qualifying...
Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 European Grand Prix
I hope we won't have a safety-car because it ruins every strategy. I'm afraid especially for Kimi this time, it would be time for him to win a race after such a long time.
