ugly trophy for kimi :cheezy:

what a race

heaven (1st victory) and not quite-heaven (slower than his teammate and massa) for kovalainen
glock definitely man of the race
another important 6 points for raikkönen

great race from hamilton and massa ... but both very unlucky.

no-one expected a Kovy win (see poll), so well done Heikki. Also, good race by Piquet in 6th.

well, we cant conclude much from it as Lewis lost 40s to Massa, who was 23s ahead of Kovy but backed off, so we cannot predict who would have won - it doesnt matter, because Kovy did :p

Lewis Hamilton:

"I think I salvaged the best of the worst, I guess. What can I do when you have a puncture, you know. Last year I probably lost the championship on punctures, so it's nothing new to me.

A little bit disappointed with the fact that I let him (Felipe) past (at the start). He just did a better job, got a better run on me and it was better to play it safe than sorry.

For sure it was a surprise that we weren't as quick as we should have been, for whatever reason I was just struggling when I was behind Felipe."

Massa deserved it. Hamilton deserved second. Kovy deserved third, but hey.

I am glad however, that FA scored some decent points. But seriously.. can anyone remember such an eventful Hungarian Grand Prix barring 2006? Why does it come up with so many debut winners (FA, JB, HK, in a five year span)..

Poor, poor Massa. He was so good.

Why must Hamilton get all the luck? Even if he gets misfortune, so do his rivals.. And more misfortune.
No, I'm not calmer. Just more jaded.

For anyone who wants more action and adrenalin in the UK, James Bond film 'Octopussy' follows the F1 coverage.

Wow, never would have expected something like this from Hungaboring.

Massa deserved the victory today, no doubt. Probably his best race ever. But you know, I've seen Kimi's engine blew 100 times on the last laps so no sympathy from me. :tired: Heikki's had his bad luck and lost wins because of that so now he makes use of others' bad luck. After his first win he should have more confidence and start getting more wins!

Kimi's pace was blistering at the end but qualifying is so important nowadays, especially on this track. So Ferrari's race pace was probably better than McLaren's which means that they aren't really so behind.

Next stop, Valencia and hopefully another fabulous GP. :)
