1-Best Driver
I'm plumping for Vettel. Without the SC, he would have been 6th, dizzy heights for an STR. Hamilton definately deserves mention, a dominant win.. in a dominant car.
2-Best Team
Mac. The car was so fast around Hock. They've really designed it to suit Hamilton, and for that they were the best team around Hockenheim.
3-Best overtaking
Kovalainen on Kubica, around the outside of turn 8 (??), superb overtake. Hamilton's were nothing special, given the considerable straight-line speed advantage he enjoyed.
4-Best Moment
Piquet crosses the line in second place. Massively unfair on Alonso who was a good 20 seconds ahead of him before the SC shenanigans. But I'm glad for Piquet.
5-Worst driver & worst team
DC for another OAP collision. His spatial awareness has never been worse.
6-Best Rookie
Piquet :cheezy:
7-The most surprising moment
Piquet's dizzy heights. Piquet leading. Piquet pulling away from Massa. Massa falling back from Piquet

8-Comments
Only a 6 out of 10, because despite the oddness of the result, the race was dull to moderate before the SC, and all in all was better than Spain (3), Malaysia (4), France, Turkey, and Bahrain (5), but not nearly as good as Britain and Australia (8), or Monaco and Canada (9)..

Hamilton had the fastest car and won. Heikki was out of sorts, so no real comparison was available, but despite Heikki running wide and making mistakes, he was still putting in strong laps, so that is what I base my evidence on. Maybe Mac have set up the car to suit Hamilton again, like last year.

As for Massa, he certainly didn't deserve his third place, but thank god he did get it, otherwise he may have been further from Hamilton in the WDC.

Watch out Robert!! Nick is now just 7 points behind! After France, he was 18 points behind. Good job Nick.

Alonso had a scrappy race yes, because his rear tyres got worn so quickly and his straightline speed was so poor that he was forced to give best to so many on the straights and had to try and take his chances. Which he often tried to do and failed. It must be galling that Piquet, circulating miles behind, behind Alonso when Alonso had pitted and Piquet hadn't, scored Renault's first 2008 podium, but I doubt Alonso cares anymore. He's just waiting for 2009.

Spot on that man.

Btw. Phil, that was Kubica who was overtaken by Kovy on the outside, and superb it was too. !yahoo:

1-Best Driver: Lewis Hamilton
2-Best Team: N/A (Maybe McLaren making such an improvement)
3-Best overtaking: Heikki on Kubica, that was a way way superb move ever seen in this season.
4-Best Moment: Lewis' overtakes.
5-Worst driver & Worst team: Alonso & Honda
6-Best Rookie: Nelsinho
7-The most surprising moment: McLaren's poor strategy decision and that Heikki let Lewis pass by

8-Comments:

For the first head-to-head comparison between McLaren and Ferrari, silver arrow showed their hand and beat Ferrari over 0.5s per lap. That was a huge gap and which was not expected anyway. McLaren proved that they are not fast just on wet conditions but on dry weather also. They're both fast for one lap shoot out and race pace now. Ferrari must work hard.

I really want to dedicate one paragraph to Vettel. This guy put its Toro Rosso into top 10 shoot out for consecutive two races beating Red Bull, Toyoto and Renault. Indeed he steals last championship point from Trulli. I really like this guy. I hope he can win his first race very soon.

It was a good Grand Prix. The crash from Glock was the moment where the race actually began to start :)

Well, another strong performance by Lewis and McLaren, congrats to them.
They clearly outpaced Ferrari all weekend, but I believe Ferrari will comeback to the winning way soon.
Strong performance was shown by Piquet and Vettel, Piquet really deserved that podium place

1-Best Driver: Piquet
2-Best Team: McLaren
3-Best overtaking: Hamilton on Massa
4-best Moment: first podium to Piquet
5-worst driver & worst team: Alonso & Honda
6-Best Rookie: Piquet
7-The most surprising moment: Piquet on podium
8-Comments: Hamilton had a great car and did a great race, he was fantastic. But I still think that, today, the best driver was Piquet, taking a inferior car to the podium, between a McLaren and a Ferrari.

Best Driver: Hamilton
Best Team: McLaren
Best Overtaking: Räikkönen on Kubica
Best Moment: Vettel finishing in the points
Worst Driver&Worst Team: Coulthard (2 bad moves) and Red Bull (Webber Engine failure)
Best Rookie: Piquet (easy one this time)
The most surprising Moment: Realizing that Piquet is on 1 Stop
Comment: Glock´s accident lead to a fantastic second half of the race. Lots of overtaking and tension.
What I didn´t like was how easy Massa and Piquet gave the possible victory away. Absolutely no fighting against Lewis. They should at least try and fight on a fair basis, like Piquet did it in France, why not this time?

..why not this time?
Because he didn't want to risk the big points which were finally coming his way.

If he wouldnt want to risk he wouldnt even think to make the move after Lewis passed him.
I think he simply didnt have the pace to try and compete Lewis.
Plus I think that Lewis's pace was really really far away from all the others...
After McLaren's mistake to keep him out after SC...that lead him to 4th place(?) but he overtook everyone that he found on his way.

1-Best Driver: Lewis Hamilton
2-Best Team: McLaren Mercedes even though they made a big mistake keeping Lewis out of pits when the SC was out. Maybe they knew something more than me.
3-Best Overtaking: Raikonnen on Kubica
4-Best Moment: Nothing to state here really.
5-Worst Driver & Worst Team: Alonso & Honda
6-Best Rookie: Vettel but Piquet certainly deserves a well done too.
7-The most surprising moment: Piquet's podium
8-Comments: I was really frustrated after this race to see Ferrari's couldnt catch Lewis's pace. And it really felt bad that Lewis passed Kovalainen, Massa and Piquet so easily. But anyway congratulations to McLarens.
