not even a rookie spins so much.

He was lucky that he managed to continue in all those spins. Piquet did it once and he had to stop.

I really, really, REALLY hate Hamilton... :<>:
Ah, the good old times when the only 2 anthems playing in Silverstone were the German & Italian

But what i hate even more, is what the Ferrari team has come down to...
It's really obvious what team had Ross Brawn at their disposal today... the 3rd place Honda :D

Does anyone remember when was the last wet race that ferrari had a good strategy? i mean after Schumacher? They really disappoint me, race after race. And expecially Massa, whom i gave a pet name of "tractor driver" about a year ago... since he spends more time off track than on it. Ferrari should have hired vettel last year, and now they would have had a better driver in the team...

I reckon he was going for the record 10 spins in 1 race, but missed it by just a few :D

Bottom line -> all the guys that retired after Schumi left were obviously crucial for the functioning of the team... they lack the finesse they used to have.

But, to return to the race... it was amusing, but i missed having a couple of SC periods... that would have been better.

Shame for Kubica... really a shame, since he would be leading the championship if he didn't DNF.

GREAT job for Honda, and Rubens. That reminded me of the last time he dominated in Silverstone, but then he was driving a Ferrari.

Webber, Kovaleinen dissapointed me... a lot. i Expected much better races from them.

Alonso was good... at times great, but at other times not so great. Average.

Oh, excuse me, isn't Massa jointly leading the WDC?!?!? I would have Massa in my team - he just doesn't do wet weather driving.

Well you can have him :cheezy: :cheezy: i don't want him @ Ferrari... i never liked him... not even when he was in Sauber... can't really stand the guy, and now the only thing that's missing is Ferrari signing Alonso, and i'll have 2 drivers i can't stand in my team... these are bad times for me as a Ferrari fan

What a chaotic race indeed!

Just some evaluation about the teams' strategic mind, eh. Ferrari who lost Brawn messed up totally. Especially on how to recover from a mistake. I mean, they left the tyres and thought that it would get dry. All right. It didn't get dry. What do you do then? Call the drivers back in immediately to avoid losing too much time. What did they do? Left Kimi out and he lost like 30-40 seconds. This prevented him from getting to podium, even 2nd place, and from leading the WDC. And Ferrari keeps doing these mistakes all the time. Honda who have Brawn now did a fantastic tyre choice with Barrichello and he was just flying through.

Anyway, lots of drivers spinning etc. so it was really down to the skill and Hamilton handled it pretty well. When the conditions were extreme, even he couldn't stay on the track perfectly anymore, but otherwise it looked great. Raikkonen spun a couple of times but hold himself together at the end. Massa was just hopeless. I didn't even bother to count how many times he spun. Kovalainen was also struggling a lot which was quite surprising considering his past wet races.

Alonso had a busy day. :cheezy: Passed twice by Kovalainen and once by Raikkonen. But he defended himself well nevertheless.

Anyway, congrats to Hamilton and now we have 3 guys leading with the same amount of points like at one point last year. Could the championship be any better?
