very suprising showing from BMW, andnot in a good way.
but seeing RK's comments yesterday one could read this between the lines.
2008 car is just not built for tracks like this :(

C'mon Ferrari, give us a race tomorrow!

I think Alonso might try some heroics early on, because of the whole France-Renault thing. That's not to say I don't think he tries his best all the time, mind.

YAAAYYY Kimi on Pole! I expected Massa to be 1st though. Pretty strategic from Kimi to go in when Massa was done with his lap and saw the time was slower than him. Now he has more fuel for tomorrow! I hope he gets a good start! Hamilton 13, so I hope he can end out of the points, and Kubica too, so Massa and Kimi lead the table with 2 points difference.

BMW was the worst team of the day.

heidfield might be heavily fuelled as always but disappointed with kubica. i think there will be a big fight between heikki and kubica. could be a lonley race for alonso,if the condition remain dry.

Heidfeld has been in serious trouble in qualifyings lately. BMW is the kind of car that should definitely make it to Q3, no matter what. Of course this just sparks the silly season more...

Kovalainen has been demoted to 10th place for blocking Webber when Heikki was doing his outlap. Why do I have the feeling that Red Bull drivers are always moaning about those things. :p Anyway, now Hamilton will probably beat Kovalainen too.

If race result was like grid (EVIDENT THIS WILL NOT REAL), Mclaren score 0 points while Ferrari 18. So ferrari will be 91 and Mclaren 53 (-38)

Bravo Ron Dennis, another pathetic year you and yours!!!

Thats so unfair, Nakajima was slow in front of Kovy. Where did you see that anyway?
But no points for McLaren probably won't happen, Hamilton may get a couple in dry conditions.

It was reported in Finnish media. I can't find anything from international sites, but Finnish sites were first with Hamilton penalty too etc.

Kovalainen was also fined 2800 euros for speeding in Quali.

Alonso will hopefully get a podium. Clean side of the grid, enough pace to keep JT behind, No Macs to worry about for a while. Only the rain will alter that.
No, I'm not calmer. Just more jaded.

McLaren had anticipated Kovalainen's penalty so they fuelled him heavy to the Q3 which explained his result there.

In which case, that was some good nous shown by Mac. Good. I like Kovy. But I think he'll end up fourth or fifth still, or get more bad luck.
