Early in the session, the Ferrari's were on top, then Kubica topped the timesheets midway - BMW's first and third, Ferrari's second and fourth, then the 2 McLarens. Near closing stages of the session, Hamilton snatched P1.

lol, did anyone actually see it?

Those Canadian marshalls had a tough task manouevering Massa's car through the gap in the wall, and how on earth did Nelson Angelo Piquet manage to set his tyres on fire.
Plus oh so predictable Glock and the now standard FA spin ( ). Oh, well..

My top 8 for Sunday's race:
1. Hamilton
2. Raikkonen
3. Massa
4. Kubica
5. Kovalainen
6. Heidlfeld
7. Rosberg
8. Webber

Pole.. Looks like a dry quali - wet race, but think a Hamilton pole...

According to my calculation(which can be s***) ..f2008 has improved over issues of using kerbs which they had in f2007... logically thinking Ferrari at least for now has edge over mclaren ..also considering the fact that you lose more in slow sector than gaining in fast sector. In wet condition everything will be different ...!

some Stats..

Fastest Laps on Montreal

2003 1:10.502 Fernando Alonso
2004 1:13.622 Rubens Barrichello
2005 1:14.384 Kimi Raikkonen
2006 1:15.841 Kimi Raikkonen
2002 1:15.960 Juan Pablo Montoya

well, the smoke actually wasn't from the tyres but the brakes. this circuit is really bloody hard on them. if you have spotted, the mechanics immediately tried to cool them down as soon as they are allowed to get to the vehicle.
