"We are checking out the brakes, it is a very hard circuit on brakes, so we are running a lot of fuel and making sure the brakes will be good for the race."
- Ross Brawn, Honda

15m- The Ferraris continue to circulate as McLaren head to the pits. With the circuit ever improving, Raikkonen is now quickest on a 1:16.993, with teammate Massa slotting in second.

I saw Heikki or Kimi, Hamilton will have an ok race, 4th, Kubica or Massa 3rd. Ferrari's quicker in Practice 1...tough race to call.

And 3rd race I can't watch live, i'll record another race then.

heikki seems to struggle with the tyres as he is not on the pace currently. ferraris trade the fastest times in betwen. look like they cured last year's problems.

So Lewis Hamilton tops the timesheet this afternoon with a time of 1:15.752, ahead of Robert Kubica who was arguably the star of the session.

Kimi Raikkonen ends up third despite numerous off-track excursions, with Heikki Kovalainen fourth. Felipe Massa, who pulled off late in the session with a dead Ferrari ended the session fifth, just over six tenths of a second behind Hamilton's benchmark

gn its 1am here
