Its high time Mclaren returns back to the top step on the podium. Otherwise they could be slowly losing out of the championship race. Mclaren is slowly bringing its old demons back. The have this habit of performing bad in the first half and coming back with strong race pace in the second half of the season. I hope it doesn't go down like that !!

Nick Fry cannot do this himself, without an order from above, meaning Honda big shots.
Yeah, I think Honda wants to see money....
Nick has always sounded gloomy abt Aguri's chances ...

agree with you i hope team won't fuel too much car in qualifying if you carry less fuel we can take pole easily i hope we'll win in Turkey but for sure it'll be hard cuz Ferrari looks strong but team has the potential to win..

i agree with you, but it's actually reliability problems that haunt mclaren in the early races of the past seasons.....i guess it's just bad luck (and a bit off the pace) what they are experiencing right now

No hole for Turkish GP!

Post by e10rice » 06 May 2008, 18:07

Ferrari won't be running the "hole in the nose" at this weekends Turkish GP. With everyone talking about how much that areo design has put them infront of everyone, do you think it will effect this weeks race. Will it change peoples minds on the design just being a little part of the areo package or will it turn out to that it did play a big part of putting Ferrari out in front of everyone.

Personally i dont think it matters if they run with or without the "hole" nose cone. They've been faster than everyone the whole season and will only continue to set the pace as the season continues.
Go Kimi Go!!!!

As Ferrari explains:

The new nose is not necessarily beneficial in all circuits.

1st: MAS --> he's good at this track
2nd: RAI --> Ferrari will own the others :p
3rd: HAM --> It's his turn for podium again xD
4th: HEI --> think he'll be better than KUB this time
5th: KUB --> faster than the other McLaren, but slower than his teammate
6th: WEB --> constantly fast
7th: KOV (if he'll be allowed to race)
8th: VET --> he has to finish this time^^
Michael Schumacher,

Webber beating Kovalainen? Assuming he races, I highly doubt that. And Vettel 8th? No offense, but I don't think you are really being realistic unless it rains.

will quali be different: the origninal plan before Sa arrived in late 05 was to be Q1: 20 cars, Q2: 15 cars, Q3: 10 cars. will it be a 5 cars followed by 5 cars knockout or a 6 followed by 6 as SA are still listed as sgned up for the whole saseon??? im confused!

Taking in account that Ferrari wont use their new nose for Turkey, can they still win or would they loose all the advantage gain previously?

sad to say that super aguri is finally withdrawn  it remebers me of the withdraw of the Arrows team in 2002.
today i heared the first time of this strange ferrari nose construction. I think all of the top teams will copy it, so it propably won't help ferrari anymore. However, they're not likely to use this construction in turkey, because contact pressure isn't important.

I think this will be the outcome of the race:

1.F Massa (he seems to like the circuit :nosweat: )
2.K Räikkönen (no question he's the best driver, but can he beat Massa ?)
3.L Hamilton (again a third place for him)
4.N Heidfeld (comeback of Heidfeld)
5.R Kubica (also a good race of him)
6.H Kovalainen (also a nice comeback from Kovalainen)
7.J Trulli (of course he is the best toyota driver)
8.D Coulthard (first point for DC, Red Bull has improved, but can they keep up with toyota again?)
