Heiki drove the fastest lap because he didn't needed that much fuel anymore and hade fresh tires so no wonder he hade the fastest lap and since a race is more than one lap doesn't mean your the best driver so he finished 5th.

Heiki hade only 10 laps to go and was the last driver that made his pitstop so lets make it easy for you.

Heiki needed for 10 laps fuel and was the last to make his pitstop.
He was the lightest car with the freshest tires.
There was a lot of grip on the track cuz of the amount of laps that where driven.
He hade a better lap than Heidfeld.

Conclussion Heiki drives the fastest lap cuz he drives the lap when he needs to do it.

And he didnt had lightest car, because all cars on track have fuel for same laps. He only had fresh tires. (At the start of the race someones can have lightest car, but, when no pit stop remaining, all drivers have the "same" fuel -"same", not the same, because some cars need more fuel for lap than anothers, but all of them have "laps remaining x fuel for a lap")

I was wondering about Heikki's engine too but it just seems that Mercedes engines don't fail anymore since 2007. Ferrari always talks about preserving engines but I haven't noticed McLaren having any trouble. It is quite a miracle when you consider the previous years. So times change...

Not only engine. Last year, Alonso and Hamilton only didn't finish one race. Alonso, Japan crash, and Hamilton, Chinese gp, rear tires+gravel

Anyone can explain how a bad (develop + setup) car on 2006, can be the best on 2007?. Maybe they have a new guy on his team...... It's like renault, some years ago, fighting with minardis, and them 2 championships (driver+team two years)

I think kimi will have a fresh engine in Spain as he had an engine change after blowing in australia.there is a question mark over massa's since ferrari declared last week that they may not change massa's engine although they had the right to do since he did not finish in malaysia. if he was on the second race with the same engine in bahrain, he will also get a new one in spain.

Kubica also finished on the podium for the second race in a row for the first time in his career.

Felipe Massa won the Bahrain Grand Prix for the second year in a row. It was his sixth win, giving him the same number as Tony Brooks, John Surtees (1964 champion), Jochen Rindt (1970 champion), Gilles Villeneuve, Jacques Laffite, Riccardo Patrese and Ralf Schumacher.

He is the third different winner this year in three races, and it was also his first victory not scored from pole position.

And, if everyone is saying to punish Alonso for the "break test". If telemetry said Alonso didn't do it, why not punish Hamilton for crash with the car infront him?.

no. both alonso and hamilton clearly moved to the right AFTER the right hand kink, so it should be put down as a racing incident
