Re: Rate the Australian Grand Prix 2008
Pretty funny the people who gave a 6 or lower are probably the ferrari fans but still cant you enjoy a race when ferrari isn't doing well?

Practically, Ferrari's produced more interesting scenes than others but didn't not reflected in results and number of early retirements didn't help it at all.So i think 7 or 7+ are Ferrari supporters

HELLO this was the australian GP weare talking about, you obviously didnt watch it. when was Heikki close enough to challenge lewis for the win it had nothing to do with mclaren of course they would of wanted a one two or are you stupid enough to think they dont care about constructors title? what lap was it that he was even close enought to challenge? you didnt watch the race did you. Kimi made TWO mistakes both school boy errors he had a dreadful start to the season dont blame everybody else for ferrari's mistakes.
Re: Rate the Australian Grand Prix 2008
I gave 10 and I have a Kimi/Ferrari supporter. Excitement of the race has nothing to do with being a supporter. That's something else.zack wrote:nothing wrong with it! Re: Rate the Australian Grand Prix 2008
1-Best Driver -> Alonso, two safety car and two times at the end of the race, even that he ended 4
2-Best Team -> Williams-Toyota, both cars end the race
3-Best overtaking -> We didn't see it, but Alonso overtake Kimi and Kovalainen. (maybe Alonso onboard cam, anyone have it?)
4-best Moment -> Kubica vs Alonso
5-worst driver & worst team -> Massa (first turn, and his race end) / Ferrari
6-Best Rookie -> Bourdais
7- the most surprising moment -> Mc'laren headache -> speed limiter on kovalainen car
Really don't know, how any can say that kimi did a bad race. He start 15, at the end of first lap, he was 8, and even he was 3. He gone to a only one stop, so he need to be very agressive. He only have one error, don't enter pit after second safety car.
And don't understand how any can rate a overtake as great if one is 1.2 second faster than other:
1-> 23-> Heikki Kovalainen-> McLaren-Mercedes-> 1:27.418
7-> 5-> Fernando Alonso -> Renault -> 1:28.603
2-Best Team -> Williams-Toyota, both cars end the race

Re: Rate the Australian Grand Prix 2008
I only give 7 points.
5
It was the first race of the seasson -> +2
There was no battle for first possition (only SC) -> -3
There was no battle for podium possition (only SC)-> -3
There was a lot of incident +2
Alonso makes a good race +2
Kimi gave us a funny race +2
Ahh, 0 points to TV. They didn't show, Alonso overtake to coulthard on first lap, and didn't show Alonso overtake to Kimi+Kova, and after show dennis happiness on Kova overtake to Alonso, they didn't show this face again after speed limiter problem.

Re: Rate the Australian Grand Prix 2008
1-Best Driver
Alonso, Hamilton, Heidfeld, Bourdais and Rosberg all drove faultless races. (and they were about the only ones who did)
I'll give it to Alonso because he had to fight his pile of junk of a car through the whole race.
2-Best Team
Toro Rosso, because they have improved greatly from last year. True they have much better drivers now in Vettel and Bourdais but a Toro Rosso in Q3 or fighting for a podium was unthinkable in 2007.
3-Best Overtaking
Alonso on Kimi & Heikki. Two Finns are always better than one, right?
4-Best Moment
Heikki giving Alonso fourth place in a big nice parcel with red ribbons "With love from McLaren" :@:2
5-Worst Driver
Piquet. OK, he's a rookie and I hadn't expected him to be fighting with Alonso but dear Nelsinho, you've GOT to beat at least the Super Aguris and Force Indias!!!!
Worst Team
Ferrari wasn't at their best this time...
6-Best Rookie
Bourdais. He's not really what I'd call a rookie even if he's new in F1. His experience in race craft showed yesterday, he did great.
7-The Most Surprising Moment
Nice surprise: Heikki's fiddling with pit lane speed limiter buttons in exactly the right moment is hard to beat... osweat:
Nasty surprise: Alonso not making it into Q3.
