Prediction Competition Results - Silvestone

Here are the results of this week's competition.

Congratulations to TWIX who managed to obtain the highest points this round, that is 18, followed by sonofgabe and McLarenF1 with 16 points. A question for next round Twix, please.

AZShadow still leads the overall table with 137 points, with a 4 point lead over Nerazurro27.

hmmm-that was a poor score by me-can't do any more of them.this year im actually a title contender but not with those scores, im surprised i even got 11-i should have got a couple more points but i didn't so ill have to guess better next time

Indeed Hamilton is currently leading the championship. You could say that they have the same amount of points and it doesn't matter but if this had been the last race of the season Hamilton would be the champion without doubt because of the race statistics so far. First the wins are counted, then second places etc. until someone has achieved a better position in the race than the others.

Massa has 2 DNF while Hamilton has 1. So Hamiton leads, bearing in mind Raikkonen has only 2 wins, while duo has 3.

I heard that the reason Hamilton leads is that he has one 10th place finish whereas Massa doesn't. It could be that the DNF also affect this, I haven't really read FIA's rulebook or anything.

yep, thats the reason - they have the same result, but Hamilton wins it on countback of best results - he has a 10th place compared to Massa's DNF- couldn't be much closer to be honest.
