Forum Guidelines & Rules

Welcome to the F1zone Community! The Administrative & Moderation staff work hard to provide you with the best learning and friendly community based atmosphere we can. There are a few guidelines that should be followed that will make our lives - and yours - as easy as possible!

1) Rules

1.1 Any attempt to register an obscene or unsuitable username will result in you being permanently excluded from this forum (this extends to multiple usernames). The same applies to avatars deemed to be unsuitable.

1.2 Registrations with incorrect email addresses will be deleted.
Repetitive plugging of websites or content relating to spam, or money making schemes will not be tolerated.

1.3 You agree not to post profanity, sexual innuendo and anything else similar in text, or as an image within the community. Any post considered to be in violation of these rules will be deleted without warning. Repeat offenders will have their posting privileges suspended and/or removed.

1.4 No personal insults or personal attacks on other posters or individuals, site moderators and administration. Which means, you agree not to post discriminatory material that targets someone, or a group of people, based upon gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, and cultural background. Users who violate this rule will be banned at the Moderator's discretion.

1.5 No deliberate 'trolling' i.e. posting with the intent to incite or provoke an adverse response.

1.6 You agree not to post images or links containing sexually suggestive material. Posts containing such material will be edited and may result in an immediate account suspension.

1.7 Post messages longer than one or two words.

1.8 Do not create a new topic unless it does not exist yet. If you are not sure, try to use "Search" a the top.

1.9 Speak only English unless you are in the Non-English section. In this section, first try to find the topic for the language, you would like to write in. As long as it does not exist yet, create one yourself.

1.10 Personal conversations of no relevance to the forum should be taken to email /Pm.

1.11 Fanbyism will not be allowed any time ,in race or general series discussion threads. Posts of this nature will either be moved or deleted.

1.12 Do not upload videos and other files from the members here to other sites (such as YouTube) without their permission. The members here put in a lot of work for free so that other members can view them. Respect their work at all times.

1.13 Do not disrespect moderators. Be respectful in both the forums and any private communications with moderators. Moderators are volunteers that donate many, many hours of their own time to help in the forums and chat rooms. Violations of this rule will not be tolerated.

2) Spam Policy:
Spam, in any of its ugly forms, will not be tolerated. It hits a nerve on the back of our neck and we will deal with the offense swiftly and harshly. If you Spam the Forum, you will be immediately ejected forever without a warning or a goodbye. Period.

3) Warnings
The forum runs a policy of three strikes and you're out. You will be notified if you have been warned and will the administrators to whom will keep tabs on who has been warned and the reasons. If you feel you've been unjustly warned, then pm an administrator who will try to resolve the problem, this does not mean your warning will be taken away neither does this mean you can argue about it on the forums.

4) Hotlinking:
Hotlinking is not allowed on this forum as you are stealing bandwidth , Please if you want to use our server somewhere else contact me via PM

5) Ban Guidelines

5.1 Posting Outwar links or links like them will warrant a permanent ban.

5.2 Ignoring staff warnings or testing patience / boundaries.

5.3 Racism

5.4 Abuse to staff will not be tolerated under any circumstances. The staff are volunteers, but they didn't volunteer to take your abuse.

5.5 Abuse to other f1zone members will not be tolerated either.

6) Signature Sizes
These are our signature rules to prevent visual problems on lower monitor resolutions, long loading times on low bandwidth connections and to keep the pages clean and ordered.
Should your current signature not meet these rules please change it, otherwise it might be deleted without notice.

Maximum Signature Size
* Width: 500 pixels
* Height: 100 pixels

7) Avatar Sizes:
These are our avatar rules to prevent visual problems on lower monitor resolutions, long loading times on low bandwidth connections and to keep the pages clean and ordered.
Should your current avatar not meet these rules please change it, otherwise it might be deleted without notice.

Maximum Avatar Size
* Width: 120 pixels
* Height: 150 pixels

We currently have 3 moderators:

Moderators are people who help keep our forum organised, friendly and informative. Please thank them and send gifts of wine women and song occasionally. Moderators control individual forums. They can edit posts in their forums. If you have a question about a particular forum, you should direct it to your forum moderator. If you have an issue with how something has been moderated send a polite email to the moderator or the administrators (Iceman1_k@F1zone.net)

The forum is here so we can have fun. We do not want to spend our time enforcing rules and reminding people to be respectful. We're fortunate to have such an interesting, amusing, considerate group of people gathered here who always welcome new faces. Thanks to everyone who participate
