Re: Reasons why people dislike Lewis Hamilton?

I’m not a massive Hamilton fan, but I like to think I have an open mind when it comes to F1. I just like good racing and enjoy watching people who are good doing at it. For me, the thing with Lewis is he seems to put on a front. He’s clearly a hugely arrogant person when not before the media and fan...

Thanks for them!

Glad to see there are plenty of screens. Always important to have at least some idea of what's going on elsewhere!

Any advice for a trip to the Belgian Grand Prix?

I'm going to Spa this year with my family, with lowly Bronze tickets. We're there for Saturday and Sunday, and I just thought I'd ask if anyone's done this before and has any tips as to where the best places to stand/sit are. I've seen the most popular place to stand seems to be along the straight b...

Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 French Grand Prix

C'mon Ferrari, give us a race tomorrow!

I think Alonso might try some heroics early on, because of the whole France-Renault thing. That's not to say I don't think he tries his best all the time, mind.

Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 French Grand Prix

Massa once again proving to be the master of the most boring circuits in F1! I know it's early stages, but I'm predicting he'll win on Sunday.

Re: F1 Books

There's a book called Racers by Richard Williams I took out from my school libary years ago, I really enjoyed that one. That's my favourite one so far but I've not read many - I've read Martin Brundle's book and Hamilton's autobiography, the latter I found boring and generally annoying. Does Murray ...

Re: F1 Returns to BBC 2009

The BBC's iPlayer will be great with F1. Much better than ITV's ridiculous, fiddly and tiny-screened "Track Highlights" rubbish. Despite the page being plastered with annoying animated Flash-based banner adverts, they still decide to stick ads before and after every video clip. After the a...

Re: 2008 FORMULA 1 French Grand Prix

As usual at this circuit, I expect a pretty uneventful race in terms of challenging for the lead. Ferrari are inevitably the favourites so the action looks like it'll be in the race for third. I'd like to see Heikki have some luck, and put in a decent drive!

Re: 2008 RBS Grand Prix du Canada , Circuit Gilles Villeneuve

I'm really looking forward to Kubica's performance! He can keep a cool head, he's not daft. I think in changing conditions, Hamilton might have a hard time with him. I'm not convinced BMW have got the pace to keep up with the Ferraris and McLarens in unchanging, dry weather over the course of a race...

Re: 2008 RBS Grand Prix du Canada , Circuit Gilles Villeneuve

"Aggressive adhesion of grooved tyres, removal of traction control systems and the actual physical configuration of the hairpin corner itself could all be probable causes for this situation."

Anyone else think that's a load of rubbish?

Re: Worst Circuit Ever?

I hate these new modern tracks such as Bahrain, Turkey and China. Yes, they are wide and there are lots of opportunities to overtake other drivers, but they seem so dull. I sort of agree with that. In my opinion, it's so very dull to watch on TV. For me, just the sight of tree-lined circuits, grave...

Re: How do you stay awake?

The Aussie GP has never been a problem for me either. The first race of the season - I'd been waiting for months for it, there's no chance I'd sleep through it!

Re: Ross Brawn

I think Jenson's so fed up of having underperforming cars, he'll do as much as he can to help. I can't help but feel sorry for him. I don't think he's absolutely amazing, but I reckon he's never been allowed to show his full potential. As for Rubens, he's known Ross for a while, so I think he'll be ...

Re: Rise of BMW Sauber

I think it says a lot about how much better BMW is at spending money than bigger companies such as Honda and in particular, Toyota. While all three of those teams are already improving this year, BMW has the best car. As much as I'm keen to see BMW become a regular front-runner, I don't think we sho...
