Re: Lotus, the E21, Kimi and Romain!
Watching the 2012 DVD. Kimi in Spa: "I know what I'm doing so just be quiet" Well, I think he got his point across since then! I think there was something like that in Hungary too. The team were worried Kimi is too slow, but he told them not to worry, he just saves his tyres. The series ...

Re: Korean Grand Prix 2012
Brundle - 'I don't think Alonso ever really got over losing the 2010 championship and he's going to lose this championship. He went to Ferrari to win World Championships.' Even this year is not over yet, and Alonso seems to be sure, it's a question of when not if he'll win with Ferrari. I can't arg...

Re: Lotus, the E20, Kimi and Romain!
That is part of the problem nowadays. Drivers are given time to cool off if they're angry + they always always have their PR representatives with them. The problem is that they get dissected if they dare to show any kind of personality, including "inappropriate" feelings like anger or disappointmen...

There's not much first hand info out there about him beyond the usual PR stuff . I always found that a bit weird. He did a good job until now

Re: Lotus, the E20, Kimi and Romain!
lols yea I agree. Some Kimi fans are a bit overly-attached. Mostly girls though. They're a big sensitive but that's just because they love him and want him to be the best. You could say the same about Alonso, Hamilton, Schumacher, Button or Vetttel fans. Every popular driver has fans like that, but...

Re: Lotus, the E20, Kimi and Romain!
Kimi has had an operation during the break as well as getting very drunk in karaoke bars in order to recover. Source? Or is this just an assumption? It was going round the Kimi forums in Hungary that he was getting a quick minor operation after the Hungary race. It started from an artickle that cit...

Re: Lotus, the E20, Kimi and Romain!
Kimi fans can be a little OTT sometimes. That isn't a swipe at anyone here, just what I've noticed in general. I guess if he has had an operation, it'd be on the wrist he broke pre-season.   So you don't want to offend a Kimi fan in particular, but rather all of them? :p May I ask w...

Re: 2012 Formula 1™ Eni Magyar Nagydíj
The Ferrari isn't the best car, but it's no longer a truck. That said, damage limitation for Fernando tomorrow. He just doesn't seem to gel with this track, even if he won here in 2003. He's struggled slightly this weekend. Ferrari seems to have one of the best cars when conditions are a bit coldis...

Re: 2012 Santander British Grand Prix
According to a French site Maldonado will start from P12 after changing his gearbox. Grosjean (P8) will start behind Raikkonen (P6). Hopefully he won't do something "crazy". What on earth happened during Q1? They almost crashed and Kimi ended up off the track. And they also almost crashed at the st...

Re: Kimi Raikkonen returns to F1 with Lotus F1 Team
Elsewhere in the paddock there are mumblings about Kimi Raikkonen and the Lotus F1 Team. The suggestion is that they are not getting along very well. I disagree. Yes, Kimi is different to handle than most drivers and it is good if he is happy in his work. At the moment he is not 100 percent happy wi...

Thank you very much, Reppo! :) This is what I needed after reading the Finnish media repeating what the German media has written ... :<>:  That German artickle was actually recycling the Hughes artickle. It's funny how the same bit of news/opinion keeps going round on the internet . Smal...

Re: Kimi Raikkonen returns to F1 with Lotus Renault GP
I know what Slade has said about Kimi and his working ethics - I think I have even quoted it here. One thing they could have found out in simulation is that steering is too fast for Monaco and change it before the race. That is not too hard to simulate. Now they lost FP1 and there is no driver who ...

Re: Kimi Raikkonen returns to F1 with Lotus Renault GP
Kimi should do all the tests possible. There are not too much of them. Häkkinen used to sit from sunrise to sundown in the cockpit just waiting what to test next. If Kimi really didn't want to test it in simulator then it is nothing but his own fault. They could at least found out that it was too f...

Re: Kimi Raikkonen returns to F1 with Lotus Renault GP
Well Grosjean was going to take the pole, but he made mistake in S2. So Lotus was the fastest car over one single lap :p Are you suggesting he made a mistake in Q2 (he barely made it to Q3, he was eighth and just one tenth faster than Räikkönen) and in, both, his two hot laps in Q3 with his two set...
