Re: 2010 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix

I think tomorrow that Lotus or Virgin have a decent, and possibly their only chance this year, to score any points. If it will rain half way through like last year, it would be clever to put on the intermediates when necessary and not the full wets. As soon as the track hits the window for full wets...

Re: 2010 Formula 1 Qantas Australian Grand Prix

It could be problematic if it rains and there are a couple of safety cars - because it will get dark early. Sunset is 7.20pm local time, but obvioulsy if its cloudy it will get dark earlier

Re: First Grand Prix You Watched

My first experience of watching f1 was A monaco race from either 96, 97 or 98. I don't remember it being wet so it must have been the latter

The Shark Fin concept...

Has this been a success or a failure. There is no team that stands out having implemented it, and as far as I can see it hasn't had much of an effect on lap times. What do the rest of you think?

Re: 2010 F1 Calendar

They'd be far better putting 2 of the flyaway races consecutively in the middle of the season like they did with USA and Canada. The calendar is looking more and more like a European sandwich between the large number of flyaways, and why on earth do they need a month off between Hungary and Belgium?...

Re: Felipe Massa Injury

Just a technical point about this poll. We really shouldn't vote until we know that Massa is ok.

Re: What could be done for the safety of drivers' head?

If the tethers could be made any stronger then why wouldn't they already be? In my opinion nothing can be done. Tethers don't work, a roof with the driver inside wouldn't be much use if there was a fire or if it rained, and at some tracks the barriers can't be moved because of a lack of space. Clark...

Re: Freak F2 accident involving Surtees

After the deaths of Senna and Ratzenberger 15 years ago, major safety changes were made, but surely nothing really can be done to stop this happening again. It was a 1 in a trillion chance, and no matter what they make the tethers from they'll never withstand the forces of crashing at full speed. RI...

Re: Freak F2 accident involving Surtees

I don't think it was a tyre from the wall, it was Clarke's left rear, which is why the wheel was inside?

Freak F2 accident involving Surtees

An off by Jack Clarke ended up with his wheel flying off and striking Henry Surtees in the head. Surtees was immediately rendered unconcious and took a glancing blow against an outer wall. He was airlifted to hospital and as of now his condition is unknown. ***WARNING - The following video depicts a...

Re: F1:CE

I have this game and I think its magnificent. I use the logitech dfgt wheel, which works brilliantly with this game. Sadly, I've heard that the new F1 game is going to use the same engine as Grid as opposed to F1CE :(
