Re: 2010 Hungarian Grand Prix

Here's a thought - when at Monaco and elsewhere, drivers cut the chicane and gain a position, it is deemed that they gained an advantage by not overtaking on the circuit. How did Rubens overtake on the circuit...when his car was outside the white line that represented the "right" border of...

Re: 2010 Hungarian Grand Prix

Pretty hard racing there but history books will still remember one of the drivers as a 7 x world champion and the other as the lackey of the first driver during 5 of those championships. And Rubens is also a whiner too. Sometimes you just have to know when to stop, just in case the madman in front o...

Re: 2010 Großer Preis Santander von Deutschland

Team orders should be allowed. I am quite in agreement with this principle. Teams should be allowed to control their results. May not be fair for the viewers and may create controversy and circus but teams should be allowed that. Like any company running their business. HOWEVER...since 2002 team ord...

Re: Worst F1 Cars ever?

The current 2010 Mercedes W01 ain't really something to brag about ! Especially when you consider that its immediate ancestor won the titles.

Re: 2010 Großer Preis Santander von Deutschland

Mercedes better pull their weight at this race...and that goes for especially for Schumi. I can't believe how he just has both bad luck and silly mistakes.
I s'pose Vettel would wanna win his home gp therefore I expect all the upgrades to be on his car.

Re: 2010 Car Launches & pictures

Those connected rear wings cannot be carried into the next season. The operating word here is CONNECTED as seemingly on the Mercedes. If the driver gets tapped from behind and his rear wing gets damaged, they would be forced into changing a lot more of the car (engine cover and rear wing). And I do ...

Re: Image of F1 in your country

Formula 1 in the States is a sport only known to motorsport and car enthusiasts. They are mostly of European descent, are into the import/performance car scene and live mostly in Midwest (Chicago, Milwaukee, Indianapolis, Detroit) or North East (NY-NJ-Boston-Philly). While pockets exist in the rest ...

Re: 2010 Season Discussions: Driver Line-ups, News and Misc

We can safely remove Raikkonen from potential Mercedes line-up. And from any future F1 line-up.

Re: Schumi to Mercedes GP?

m Weber told the German weekly Bunte that, after the German had to call off his 2009 return to replace the injured Felipe Massa for health reasons, Schumacher is now "absolutely fit". "His neck is also completely fine, just like his entire psyche," Weber added. "He could dri...

Re: 2010 Season Discussions: Driver Line-ups, News and Misc

I agree with Jenson's perceived value vs. true value. I do not think he is championship material or McLaren material. He will run away scared by Hamilton after the first season. That in itself is the mistake: he would have been the world champion at the world champion team with a bunch of people tha...

Re: 2010 Season Discussions: Driver Line-ups, News and Misc

Jenson Button's bid to stay at Brawn is being torpedoed by Mercedes' plans to turn the Brackley operation into Team Germany. Formula 1 world champion Button has been made a final £3.5million take-it-or-leave-it deal by Brawn GP, according to sources at the team. That is nearly £5m less than the 29-...

Re: 2010 Season Discussions: Line-ups, News and Regulations

I thought refueling was banned for 2003. Anyways, it did not stick, I do not expect it to stick this time either. I actually think refueling brings a new aspect to F1, and the costs of that operation is worth the risk reduction in not having to carry 3 times more fuel.
