What's up with these ugly nose cones this year?
My god they look awful!
I heard that they were coming this year, but why?
Can anybody answer this question?
Thanks in advance

Re: Kimi Raikkonen returns to F1 with Lotus Renault GP
Great to have Kimi back! I always liked him in a certain way. He's got that special kind of black humor and is truly unflappable. His choice of team though is terrible, it's gonna be like Schumi's comeback, 6th and 7th places.....the Renault sucks. Schumi really should have retired after this season...

What Renault does next... http://www.f1zone.net/news/what-renault-does-next/10482/ Good article Phil, was a good read. I think Renault will go with Barrichello and either Petrov (for the money) or Grosjean (French). Kubica seems to be Ferrari bound for 2013, with the pre-contract, the arranged test...

Terrible....24 f**k**g years of age! Unbelieveable  Thoughts go out to his family, but I also feel shattered for Edwards and Rossi, two fantastic guys, who'll always have to live with the pain of beeing directly involved in a fatal accident. Of course, they have zero responsibility for this, b...

RIP Dan! Terrible news
He has 2 children aswell
Very sad sad news for all the racing fans in the world, but I can imagine Phil is probably the saddest of us, cause Dan was a fellow Englishman.
Jenson Button was very sad I've heard, were they mates?

Re: 2011-12 Silly Season
I suspect it's for 2012, 2013 with an option for 2014. Possibly after that it will be one year deals or a move to the management side of the team - McLaren seem very keen for Button to move into that role eventually. Good move by McLaren, Jenson is a good driver, uses his head a lot. You need at le...

Re: Rate the 2011 Italian Grand Prix
1 - Best Driver Vettel. Kudos to Schumi who was great again. 2 - Best Team Red Bull, got Vettel's car flying. 3 - Best Overtake Alonso from 4th to 1st at the start. 4 - Best Moment Schumi - Hamilton battle 5 - Worst Driver Webber, the Johnny Herbert of today's F1! 6 - Worst Team Ferrari, completely ...

Re: 2011 Formula 1 Shell Belgian Grand Prix
FIA have let Red Bull and McLaren (on Hamilton's car) change the front tyres. I don't think this is the last we'll hear about this... Isn't this against the rules? This is what I really hate about F1, the FIA always bend the rules... no matter in which teams favour, whether it's Ferrari, McLaren or...

Re: 2011 Formula 1 Shell Belgian Grand Prix
Thanks Phil!
Kimi at McLaren was really special, I still think he deserved that 2005 championship and would have won it with ease, had it not been for so many technical failures.
Suzuka 2005 is perhaps the best dry weather drive in F1 history.

Re: 2011 Formula 1 Shell Belgian Grand Prix
Should have posted Kimi's omboard lap from 2004. That was back when they were racing 950 hp V10s, I think he went something like 340-350 kmh on the straight and close to 370 kmh in Monza. I always enjoyed watching Kimi at Spa, he's been brilliant there, second best Spa driver of all time behind Schu...

Massa wont win when he is with Alonso - Alonso just says something on radio and he is finished. and when Alonso retires he still cant win because there is RBR.... I know. I mean, all Massa has to do is actually not be half a second slower in qualifying, not be slower in the race, actually push the ...

Re: Silverstone memories: First lap crash at the 1973 Britis
Wow...the 70s were really a nightmare in terms of safety. All those people on the track...recipe for disaster. People were so careless back in those days, smoking 2 packs of cigarettes a day, no seat belts in street cars, awkward safety in sports (and especially racing), unprotected sex etc. a wild ...
