Re: F1: The end of the decade
I think 2003 was pretty much the pinnacle of this decade. The qualifying format was better than ever, most of the races were well above average and races like Brazilian GP could be regarded one of the best races ever. Raikkonen and Alonso got their first wins and Montoya was probably at his best bac...

Re: Bridgestone to quit F1 after 2010
A bit of a surprise. Maybe Goodyear will return then. Michelin would be my favorite for certain reasons but I don't think they're interested in racing without competition.

Re: Result of the 2009 Abu Dhabi Gp
Congratulations to falstar and everyone who took part in this game!
I was almost dead last after the first rounds and getting 2nd place after that feels good indeed.
Thanks to everyone for a good season

Funny how after Hamilton's retirement the race became boring for so many whereas Singapore's winning battle which was just as uninteresting got more attention

Re: Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix
First mechanical retirement for Hamilton? Well, his lucky streak had to end at some point. He would have lost this race to Vettel anyway so. Ferrari wants Kimi to get 2 points now.

Re: 2009 Kimi's last season or just at Ferrari?
The most stupid post on this forum I've ever seen. "Kimi is pretty bad at developing cars" - Are you working at McLaren? And I though that the teams are developing the cars, not the drivers. If in your opinion, Alonso is so great in developing the cars, then why the newbie Hamilton in 2007, w...

Re: F1 Overtaking Statistics
Ah, a very good thread. Thanks to all the contributors. Overtaking has indeed gotten worse and looks like nobody really knows what to do with it. I doubt that FIA has the guts to forbid the double diffusers anymore since the teams were fighting over the issue so much earlier on. About qualifying for...

Re: 2009 Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix
Lots of crashes, penalties for everyone... I mean it's like you come to look for news after a couple of hours after qualifying and notice that half of the grid has changed. Oh well, Kimi can probably think of a podium again if he gets past Heidfeld and hopefully Trulli too.

Re: 2009 Fuji Television Japanese Grand Prix
Jenson Button did not slow down at the end of Q2, when yellow flags were waving out of Turn 14. There was debris on the track, Buemi’s front wing, and Button set the fastest sector time of anyone. Barrichello was three tenths slower and may have lifted off, that will be for the stewards to decide. ...

We're definitely back in Suzuka You'd probably get pole just by staying on the track as the others crash out.

Re: 2010 Season Discussions: Line-ups, News and Regulations
Kimi Raikkonen cut through the McLaren garage on his way through to the pit lane. Maybe he thought it was 2010 already Martin Whitmarsh, McLaren team principal “Along with Spa-Francorchamps, Suzuka is one of Formula One’s greatest circuits, and one that every driver relishes. Certainly, McLaren has...

Gold rush Maranello, 30 September 2009 - Reading certain newspapers one might think that there is a gold rush in Maranello. There is lots of talk about Fernando Alonso's arrival, but even more so about how much the Spanish driver will earn and what the details of his contract with the Scuderia Ferr...
